THIRD there is nobody alive that knows a full ryu of ninjutsu. the best you can get is a smattering of it in Tenshin shoden katori shinto ryu. but that will take atleast 15 years to even start learning ninjutsu...

A gun is only lethal in one direction and martial arts such as Krav Maga and Systema work to redirect the gun so it is no longer lethal, try doing that with a sword, as easily.

I think the final blow should be aimed in the shoulder. Because the skull is a "round" bone, then the katana can easily slip thorugh the skull, losing energy. A deep cut in the shoulder is deadly as a skull pierce.

I've read this in Rurouni Kenshin manga...but makes sense

You're right, if you're aiming for the skull, and have no want to "pacify" your opponent, going for the neck is a better place to aim. A full-grown adult is said to bleed to death within 10 seconds of having their juggular vein, corroded artery, or femural artery etc. cut, sliced or other wise compromised.What a way to go,
