what does the pilot jet and leak jet do.if you change your exhaust or air filter do you need to change the pilot and leak jet as well as the main jet?

i bought a rm 125 yesterday which has a fmf exhaust and i've heard that you have to have it jetted to suit the exhaust and i dont know weather the person i bought it off has cause the bottom end is'nt that good i have to give it alot of revs to pull off to you think i need it jetted if so have i got to put in bigger jets or smaller
