I am a woman who would love to see another woman president. However, this one terrifies me! I think it is easy to see that even in her very limited time in office she has already flip-flopped on her ONE issue, the bridge to nowhere. AND this supposedly anticorruption crime fighter persona was director of the Stevens (who she supposedly led the fight against) 527 group (the fundraising committee that takes unlimited corporate financing for candidates). She said it herself, she has no clue.

While I don't absolve the congress for it's irresponsible actions, I would point out that our country is in such debt because of a war started by GW Bush & Co., under false pretenses. The congress, which has only recently had a (slim) Dem majority, has been backed into a corner by pressure to support war funding bills. It's a no-win for them: pull war funding and risk being labeled unpatriotic. Pass Bush's funding bills, and be blamed for outrageous spending by the Republican base.
Actually, I'm currently in the field of economic geography, but I've worn a few different hats in--and out--of the corporate world. At the very least, I think my understanding of this country's basic political economics is sound.
