  • One of your best videos, Jack.

  • Agreed.

But such a collapse will not ruin your nation but preserve her, it will restore your founding fathers ideals.

When we collapsed, now we're slowly growing to our former self, but hopefully your nation will learn from your mistakes and not repeat them as we have.

Even if Ron Paul was elected, the establishment still remains hostile to reform. I'd prepare for a revolt, like our Constitutional crisis of 1993 perhaps.

"Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely" John Dalberg-Acton

  • If the founders were here now, some would be liberal and some would be conservative. That's the nature of the beast. You can't fix that. You can respect it and compromise. Personally I could not live in a non liberal society. I like and use my rights and freedoms all the time.

  • Did anybody point out that the size of government always increases more under Conservative leadership? No?

  • @RentAnEducation the government has grown in size for quite some time under any leadership, but perhaps you missed the entire point of the definition of conservatism... no. Conservatives do not GROW government. watch the video again... you missed the whole point of the video. the eductaional tid bit has went over your head or in one ear and out the other it seems.

  • Yet you trust big corporations, whom nobody gets to vote for. You trust them to wield their power in a benevolent manner, yet do not require it.

You assume that in their unapologetic pursuit of greed, they'll also do what's good for society.

  • @RentAnEducation well sir see there are laws that are meant to hold them back. Check the initial break up of the oil tycoons back in the day. Their tactics have been made further illegal. The thing you are missing in the midst of supporting corporations is allowing.... EVERYONE AN EQUAL SHOT TO KEEP THE FRUITS OF THEIR FUCKING LABOR! please put your biased and uneducated defenses of your failed and fallen loyalties to rest. You're sickeningly stupid.

  • this is a good video

  • How do you feel about the John Birch Society, Jack?

  • @shamusername I hope he likes them because they are an awesome educational group!

    JBS [dot] ORG

  • We all need to send this video to all our "Conservative" friends. Jack Hunter does an amazing job.

  • @zoomee65 yes we do.

  • To be fair, the Founding Fathers were liberal, however that was before the progressive hijacked that word as progressiveness was a rejection of classical liberalism. How the progressives stole that word, I'll never understand.

  • @Jebusrulez

How neocons hijacked the word "conservative" I'll never understand either.

  • @objectivefreedom

    Good point.

  • Getting somewhere again, but still in the same game.

  • Can any of the Ron Paul supporters explain why if Paul is for smaller government and limiting Social Security why he hasn't co-sponsored U.S. Rep. Howard Coble's (R-NC) bill to reform Congressional pensions? Currently congress critters get golden parachutes while the people they represent are forced to wait longer to get less. Seems very hypocritical shouldn't he be championing pension reform for congress?

  • @libertyfizz Well I can answer that easy enough. Dr Paul has already stated publicly he will forgo the congressional pension. Because he believes it is much too lucerative. He would support a scaling back .

Why can't you guys get it through your heads, RP is a champion of the Constitution. America could do no better then Dr Paul as President. Much to your right-wing chagrin.

  • @curiousone2530 Great for Paul but still why hasn't he co-sponsored Rep. Howard Coble's Congressional Pension reform bill? Coble's bill is a major scaling back of Congressional pensions and Coble himself has also forgone his congressional pension for the same reason as you stated for Paul. Just saying Paul should be one of the co-sponsors on that bill actions always speak louder than words.

  • @libertyfizz - Does it just scale back or does it end it? Ron Paul wants to end pensions that require tax payers to foot the bill.

  • @NoBailout4Banksters Has Paul submitted a bill to end Congressional Pensions? I would be all for it. The Coble bill puts the benefits in line with social security not the current golden parachute Congressional pensions are now. Possibly Coble would be willing to work on a bill with Paul concerning this issue and they could co-write one that ends Congressional pensions. Coble has turned down the Congressional pension on moral grounds.

  • @libertyfizz - Ron Paul may have a bill in the house. We would have to do some researching. We do know that he has always said that he will NOT participate in the pensions.

  • Not one candidate, besides Paul, has shown us his/her chopping block. Why?

    They don't have one. Why?

    They are all Statist!

Get real. Vote Paul, then support Paul 2012.

  • If history is any guide, this current system will fail in a catastrophic way. The people (most) will not change until circumstance forces a change. This seems to be consistent with history and Jefferson's phrase in the declaration of independence: "...and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable..."

Well, this government has become unsufferable. All that is left now is for it to collapse completely. Plant the seeds of Liberty!

  • Herman Cain - The man of catchy oneliners and fancy tax code names

  • You people are funny. You people believe that if RP was elected everything would be better. You do realize we have this thing called the house and senate, right? Nothing he wants would ever pass. Without a RP like party, electing him would be pointless. And of course you will never see a RP like party because the people of this nation LOVE big gov. I bet I exploded some heads there. Its also why RP will never be elected. RP is only supported by redncks and corperations.

  • @warcraft1920 Ron Paul has stated this himself. Which you'd know if you understood a thing about Ron Paul. However, if Ron Paul was show respect by the media rather than condescension when the mention him his ideas would resonate more with people. Look at how Obama passes things into law that nobody wants.

Love big government or hate it. We cannot afford it. Regardless of what YOU believe... Every person who predicted the hosing market collapse is now predicting worldwide collapse.

  • @warcraft1920

    lol @ argumentum ad ignorantiam

  • @warcraft1920 "Nothing he wants would ever pass." As president, he has the power and authority to bring the troops stationed overseas home immediately. "RP is only supported by redncks and corporations." The corporations are too busy supporting Obama and Romney. Ron Paul's top three donators are from those currently active in the military. "warcraft1920" You're giving us video game and anime enthusiasts the world over a bad name.

  • @ytmikelol ok This will be a long response. 1st. I like how you only mentioned the 1 thing he might be able to do without congress and none of the other shit. Now heres why that wont work. Removing that many soldiers takes alot of time and money. All congress would have to do is muddy the process to slow it down till he leaves office. Do you realize how long it would take to move that many soldiers? And put them were? congress would just slow it down. cont-

  • @warcraft1920 How much money would it take to bring troops home from Germany and Japan? The cost of the fuel for the plane? And what could congress possibly do to muddy the process? De-fund the military? And as to where to put the soldiers, how about the US-Mexico border. Here is a quote from a recent article on the subject: "authorities in Texas reveal that Mexican drug cartels have transformed parts of the state into a war zone where shootings, beheadings, kidnappings and murders are common."

  • @ytmikelol I am well aware of Obamas sell out to wall street and such. RP dosent get alot of money from them because they know he cant win. lastly as big of a pussy that Obama is I would rather have his weak ass bills then RPs belief that wall street should be allowed to butt fuck us.

  • @warcraft1920 Bush started the bailouts, Obama continued the bailouts, and Romney, Perry, and Cain all supported the bailouts. These are the people rewarding wall street for breaking the law. Why is Obama not going after the banksters with charges of fraud? The Obama administration is actually pushing to grant them retroactive immunity for bank fraud connected to the financial and foreclosure crises! If they did nothing wrong, then why is Obama offering immunity?

  • @warcraft1920 Ron Paul is the only one who would have let the criminals go bankrupt. And that's the reason the corporations and the banks don't want Ron Paul. They are afraid of losing access to the government gravy train.

  • If wall street ran in a free market society then the corrupt collective entities of corporations would have to compete with other powers so as to cater to its consumers but if this is so then what competition does government have? And what keeps it in check? As was said Power tends to corrupt but absolute power (Government) is absolute corruption

  • Jack's analysis doesn't incite much optimism, but it is nonetheless right on the money.

Anybody (unless he walks around with blinders on like a horse) can see that the Republican Party is not a conservative party. In fact there is no real conservative party anywhere in the Western World. To me, you judge a man by his actions, and a party by its results.

Finally this hijacked train called the West (it's not only USA) is heading for the precipice, and, I'm afraid, nobody ain't gonna stop it.

  • @LoneWolfPete

"nobody ain't gonna stop it", translates into someone will stop it, since nobody "aint'.

But your assertion that there is no conservative party anywhere illustrates the reach of your research.

  • @itcanbecheezcaketime

Well, I sure messed up. Obviously I meant: ain't nobody gonna stop it.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for pointing that out.

  • My favorite Jefferson quote

  • Jack is right on as always. Following politics is like watching a train wreck from a helicopter. The big money threw in with Romney and began the usual media blitz to tell the sheep which candidate is the “viable” one. Oddly they also promoted Cain, if only because he poses no threat of being elected. Yes indeed, with Cain’s cheesy sex scandal (which they likely knew about) filling the news it appears that the attention is off of substance and in the end Romney will be the last man standing.

  • @TulliusVII I'm convinced they pick 3 candidates. One that they actually want, but burn a little in the beginning to hide that he's their "guy". One they plan on burning out of the race early, and one they plan on "exposing" several scandals about closer to the actual Nomination. All of this is to make the Chump that want actually look like a good choice to the plebes. I've gone back and looked at the past three Presidential Elections, they all have this same pattern.

  • @Joe11Blue I don't doubt it for a second.

  • 1 Herman Cain supporter dislikes this lol

  • I still don't understand the big government small government argument. in my mind, citizens should have whatever size government they wanted and were willing to PAY for THEMSELVES. If you live in a town of 500 and think you should emply 200 dog catchers, and you can pay for it, then have at it. The problem is citizens want things they are not willing to pay for themselves. And as mitt Ronmey remided us, corporations are people too, and some of them want a lot of things they do not pay for.

  • "Conservatism" as used by Jack (and Dr Paul) is only so to the extent that it follows libertarian ideology. Why they insist on calling it "conservatism" is beyond me, especially considering that the libertarian wing of conservatism sprang up from classical liberals who fled the Democrat party when that entity abandoned small government and sound money at the dawn of the progressive era. GOP conservatism has leaned to talk the talk but the GOP was ever the statist quo, as Lincoln intended.

  • Comment removed

  • @shiftstart As I understand it (via Rothbard), the Democratic party switched to the progressive, big gov't philosophy, leaving libertarians (née liberals) out in the cold.

The then struggling GOP, who had been a statist party from inception, aped small gov't ideals for libs, not because they believed them but because they opposed big Dem gov't. There has been ideological color bleed between libertarians and conservatives, but the statism of the GOP comes through when they get in control.

  • Slash and burn is the only way to get back to fiscal sanity. And Ron Paul has been the only light in a world of darkness. Of course, even in good economic times, without Freedom, our lives have little meaning. Politicians like McCain, Lindsey Graham, Joe Liberman, constantly push the idea of endless war and unconstitutional measures, ie, the Patriot Act, DHS, TSA, etc. These things are simply an "Orwellian Nightmare", which MUST be reversed...Vote Ron Paul 2012!!

  • Cain has essentially argued that he would just like to return to George W Bush big government. The tea party is showing itself to be no more politically astute than the Obama supporters. STOP BEING CONNED, YOU FOOLS!

  • @P0LICEstateWATCH may I ask which tea party? Ron Pauls or the fake Tea Party (Palin/Beck,ect) I'm not arguing or anything just want to know which one!!!

  • You don't need to be religious to be conservative; you just need to be religious to be elected! As a conservative atheist I support Ron Paul above all other candidates!

  • @MsWanderer1 I support your moral values, even if they are subjective. RON PAUL is the Conviction Candidate!

  • @MrDeppness "Subjective"??? LOL; moral values are part of the evolutionary development of the homosapien species and supported by OBJECTIVE scientific data!

BTW: all deity based religions, according to their holy books, condone genocide, rape, murder, child abuse, and many other immoral actions as long as it is against those outside of their religious belief systems.

  • @MsWanderer1 OBJECTIVE scientific data does not have anything to do with mortality. Science determines the functions of things, it does not defend or validate morality.

That aside, Ron Paul is a christian and proud of it. Not a hypochristian, just a christian.

  • Good point. If the arm offends you, cut it off. Cut off the legs and the other arm too, as they are bound to offend you at some point. I removed the steering wheel from my car for the same reason, I was tired of being governed by it and wanted to let me car do what is wanted without the shackles of a steering control device. Thomas Jefferson would be proud...

  • @mrdarcyme

Does your hand or any other part of your anatomy stretch across 10000 miles and to the genitals of children? If so, it might be a good idea to cut it off.

  • @utubehayter No, on both counts. The perversion is on you, if you support Ron Paul as slavishly as you do.

You're idea of debate is to imply someone is a child molester because you have no coherent argument . Good god, grow a brain or some ideas. Bye, forever (I hope).

  • @mrdarcyme

    Oh really?!

    T. S. A.

Or maybe you should shove your large brain up your... unless you already did that - which would explain a lot.

  • FAVORITED! =D

  • Progressivism (anti-liberty "liberalism") advocates changes or reform through GOV'T action.

Give ANY politician (Democrat or Republican) the money & power to "redistribute & regulate" & they will ALWAYS benefit THEIR “special interest” campaign backers; Banks, Wall Street, Military-Industrial Complex, Marxist Union Bosses, Giant "Green" Corps, Big Oil etc.

Progressivism aka “Big Gov’t” CREATES Political Cronyism.

FIAT (counterfeit) debt-currency from the Fed just FUELS THE FIRE!

  • Jack Hunter always hits the nail right on the head. I am so sick of the phoney conservative republicans that have nothing in common with the true meaning of it.

  • First

  • @bobsacamano1 first to call the guy faggot who called the guy faggot
