  • uploaded on oct 3 2008? oh why am i outdated?

  • so wie geil hab 3 brüste

  • aaaaaaah if robots do take over the world my pc would be afraid of me because it knows how i get mad

  • Damn technology, you scary!

  • i would shit my pants standing between them

  • I will not be surprised if some idiot finds a way to completely make a car assembly automated. And then what. More job losses.

  • @tjmady Not really, then new jobs will open up because you have to have people who can fix them when they brake or something goes wrong

  • @XbatfroX Good point. I didn't think of that. Yeah humans will need to fix things when they break down.

  • @tjmady lol yeah, plus if the machines permanently break then you got the jobs to make new ones and the jobs that dispose of the parts that are useless

  • haha at 1:34 i already knew it was gonna be a santa fe

  • thumbs up hyundai!!

  • I've seen all the process at vauxhalls in ellesmere port in england (vauxhalls is like Chevrolet I think all owned by GM)

  • God damn fucking robots!

I heard China was injecting robotic dildos with Chinese semen to impregnate american women with chinese people. This dildo warfare will destroy America unless you lesbians and dildo using single women take a stand! Buy American dildos or else the country will fall!

  • wow.......

  • strictly speaking these are not robots but programmable special purpose machines

  • @Grousuba

    which we call it, "Robots"

  • @ngentotsemua

    "Robot" have to have intelligence

  • Comment removed

  • @Grousuba

and then asimo, etc, was not a robot at all because all it can do is walking

  • @ngentotsemua

    Walking requires a tremendous amount of dynamic, high speed computation including;

    a) sensing it's own attitude

    b) sensing the environment

    c) negotiating obstacles

    d) responding to changes

    e) balancing

    f) speed etc.

If asimo can walk, with the only inputs being start point and goal point, and all the other factors are computed dynamically, then it qualifies as intelligence.

These welding spm's have no sensing, minimal dynamic computing and no learning abilities.

  • @Grousuba

    which need no intelligence because

The Robotics Institute of America (RIA) uses a broader definition: a robot is a "re-programmable multi-functional manipulator designed to move materials, parts, tools, or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks."

copy paste thing still better than a subjective assumption :)

  • @ngentotsemua

By this definition, CNC machines are robots.

  • The advantage of robots over human employees is they never go postal. XD

  • @Cotoredondo,

    They also don't sue.

  • Yes but some assholes did invest trillions of dollars in weapons and military issues instead of the right technologies!

  • Hi. Aprox by the year 2020 a laptop will reach the human brain potential for processing data which means that there is a huge market waiting for hundreds of billions dollars to be sold or invested in humanoid robots and intelligent systems and the beginning of the bigger industry ever maid in human history. Search on Google luisbeck007 you will find the most complete humanoid robot list in the World, good information and interesting issues.

  • @luisbeck007 they said the same thing about 2010 in the 1850's.

I think your "aprox" is still a bit far off

  • hyundai rocks!!

  • fiat was the first to use fully robotised/automised production system allready in the 80´s!

  • Exucse me?o_o

  • anyone know where i can find full episode of this. its not on their website

  • Its called people not being able to buy the cars because they don't have a job.

  • stop worring about been unemploed unless you are to dumb to find a real job but then if you are to dumb u get more money on the dole then u do working them sort of jobs any way so what are you woried about?

  • @jpsl20

last time i checked building cars by human hands was a real fucking job.

  • only robots.

    more desemployment.

  • its called unemployment...

  • the same for me,idiot.

  • Imagine if the next thing they do are the Terminators? What do ya' think? (-_;)

  • @NewsSeeeker515 um...heard of pace-makers?

  • Familiar... I would like to know... :D

  • The Cylons were created by man...

  • Yet another reason why no one can get a job. Most of them are taken over by fucking robots.

  • tell me if im wrong wouldnt this make the car price go down in very large quantities

  • NATGEO thumbs up

  • BBC press thumbs up

  • BBC vs NatGEO who will win to vote press the thumbs up btten on the next commits

  • Men this is a good techno video; any continuation? Robotics and machines are the key to the future developments. Whether Robots will be developed to the point of becoming self aware and engage in its human creators in a bitter struggle for supremacy is unknown. For now, robotic technology is the key.

  • read player piano by kurt vonegut-good book

  • humans are coming to a end, robots will run everything, they dont need to breathe in space, and on other planets, soon they will be as smart as us, and smarter, because they will think on there own, and act on there own , and what about our jobs,?? its all going to robots , slowly but it is, there is machines every were, theres machine cashiers and food markets, by 20 25 more then 50 % of the jobs wil be gone due to robots and machines, thats a fact, so WAKE UP AND SAY NO TO ROBOTS.

  • dude, a.i. hasnt been invented yet, and maybe it never will, so stop acting like a hippie

  • You idiot. Of course A.I has been invented. They use it to control enemies in most video games.

  • you dont know what a.i. is do you? ai is Artificial Intelligence, wich means that a program can think, act and react on its own, and is SELF-AWARE. so not an alien who shoots if you shoot him. an a.i. does not have in-built reactions like germans in call of duty. if you ask an ai: "who are you?" it will think, consider lying, making up an awnser. and THAT, dude, is not like enemies in videogames. and THAT, dude, hasnt been invented yet.

  • And it'll be interesting to see if we could even invent such a thing. There's a whole host of problems, such as an intelligence interpreting multi-definitional words within a sentence, in the correct manner so that a conversation can be held.

  • you say that.... however.... who makes the robots? other robots? maybe, but who make's sure the robots are doing their jobs? a person. who performs matenence on the robot? a person. who runs the corporations that make the robots? no, not a robot. a person. plus, the more robots their are, the fewer people their are on manager's payrolls. this means companies will pay less employees, driving down the costs of goods and services. nice one dumbass. =P

  • Yes but after I lose my job to these machines how will I be able to afford their cheap quality product?

  • u get one of the jobs i previously named, or one not taken by robots.

  • those are all extremely specialized and technical. I am not a machinist or mechanist what am I to do? This will kill our economy not save it.

  • where do u get the facts for "by 2025 more then 50% of the jobs will be gone due to robots and machines, that's a fact"? sounds like u made it up.

  • Na lie!

  • a robot is actually a machine some people even consider a machine that can make a car in less than a minute is a robot

  • someone correct me if im wrong but arent robots technically computers? and dont u have to program a computer for it to do what u want so in theory wed have to program a computer to take ove the world which pretty much defeats the purpose of 'taking over'.

  • whoever believes that machines are going to take over the world, and killing all humans, is pathetic. but perhaps my pc will finally have his reveange on me because I always abuse it. or maybe my toaster will start chasing me. LOL what a joke.

  • @Allblack25 Obviously you have never seen Maximum Overdrive. Open your eyes.

  • @Allblack25 You're a joke, why don't you read the arguments first?

  • @Allblack25

Since all computers and machines are programmed to do things, it is highly unlikely a "skynet" type event will happen.

    However,

Once we start programming robots to be fully autonomous and think for themselves OR even worse, start creating cyborg's (mixing biological parts with machines and computers) THATS when I would start to worry...

  • @Allblack25 While I agree with you that machines turning on man kind is just a bunch of idiots repeating memes they don't understand. I don't think anyone believes that the future will have toasters chasing us, though I could be mistaken. The robot uprising is mainly due to people (engineers included) not understanding how intelligent robots would work, but never the less thinking of it as an inevitability. When the time comes, we'll know how intelligence works and be able to mold it.

  • i often worked with these robots, it's really nice to write programs, teach points and maintain this technology. but they are far away from taking over the world

  • robots just can't take over the world.

robots usually have an on/off button.

so you just can switch them off.

they run on energy so if they have a low battery they should stop.

but if they run on solar energy there is not much more to do...

  • People don't understand that a robot uprising will not happen. For one thing, the algorithms put into the programming of a machine is non-mutateable. If it were, for no reason would it become aware of the humans surrounding it for they aren't equipped with the sensors. And if these sensors were added the robot would have no feelings and therefore, no hate. If there was a robot uprising it would be done by robots with brains the same as humans, just artificial (look up neural networking.)

  • I disagree because a virus could easily alter the machine code. Moreover even a simple robot can be dangerous considering its "mind" can be controlled by a more intelligent robot or being. I think we shouldn't under estimate the danger of robots and technology in general.

  • That's ridiculous. Not only does this so called "virus" need to be heavily advanced to break through the firmware on a simple robot, it also needs to be cross compatible between different integrated circuits and operating systems. This is truly not feasible. Also, a more intelligent being couldn't communicate with every machine, some aren't even online.

  • Well I have a different philosophy and think everything is possible. Moreover you point out problems that have already been solved : Patching firmwares, cross-platform development As for the online part all machines are connected to some computer so data are exchanged, therefore it's possible to communicate with them.

Of course it sounds more like science-fiction but if scientists and writers didn't have any imagination then we would still be in the stone age era ;)

  • Yes, I'm not saying this is truly impossible, I'm saying it's so difficult it's not probable. Like I said in my first comment, the 'brain' needs to run like a humans to have any sort of intelligence that isn't limited to it's firmware. The best way is to mimic the human brain in the form of a neural network.

  • ...At this time, computers are to slow to simulate an efficient network in this way, but, it could be done in the advent of a processor/hard-drive convergence were tiny modules that work like a neuron are hooked together with artificial synapses.

  • Note that I should have written "easily". Of course it would be hard as hell to achieve, and probably impossible in some cases.

  • Perhaps automation of everything is good, I can see the world population dropping, and anyway, we all fucking hate each other, at least robots don't give you any hassel, at least not for the next few hundred years.

  • You should read some Isaac Asimov's stories ;)

  • Comment removed

  • soooooo cool

  • post moar! i wanna see the rest of the car come together

  • just from this video we can see the future taking place slowly but surely

  • Yes I can already see Terminators running the place and humans bringing coilfee and cooking screwburgers for them :D

  • Super!

More low and middle class unemployees

The usage and need of more energy in order to "speed" production.

This planet will go to hell even sooner n_n !

  • Assembly line jobs are shitty jobs to begin with. And assembly by robots is much more efficient and thus actually saves energy. Stupid, mindless jobs will be 100% automated and this is something we should welcome. Also, this process has been going on for at least 150 years and yet the unemployment rate has remained very low (yes, even 10% is very low historically speaking). Why? Because new, better jobs were created. There were no web designers or genetic engineers 100 years ago.

  • Robots=unemployment

  • very very smart!

  • wow. god bless the assembly line.

  • what did he say? 6000 what?

  • he said 6000 welds.

  • That was a big WOW in my day! Y.Y

  • Once I lost my job because of automatic assembly line. Who is next?

  • I don't like & support using robots to replace humans labor. A human can learn from 1 mistake, but the robots can make mulitple mistakes w/out supervision. Fact is, just watch the movie "Terminator"

  • still never able to weld as good as humans

  • I'm pretty sure that the technology to allow robotic arms to exceed the skill of humans in welding has been around for a while already. It's just a matter of quality programming and not cutting corners on costs or materials (read: ethical business practices). Muscle and bone can rarely match the precision or regularity and precision of quality equipment.

  • Very, very cool. The future is now!

  • "That is the stupidest platform I've ever heard of. No robots = economic collapse."

Some of us have already been brainwashed by the enemy.

  • haha owned!

  • YES! WE ARE TAKING OVER!!!

  • wow amazing

  • AWESOME!

  • I can't wait until the day people only do what they want, because robots provide for everything we need.

It's going to be interesting to see how the economy works in terms of money/jobs when robots provide everything we need.

  • For most they just lose a good paying job and end up working fast food or at wal-mart. Great world we live in.

  • They find other jobs now, but what about when robots and computer systems are able to do those jobs as well?

When there are no jobs left, except advanced scientific and engineering research, I wonder if our economy will start working without money somehow, or if it will just be a new type of distriubtion.

  • Humans will continue to work in every creative job you can imagine. A machine cannot be programmed to be original and spontaneous.

  • my pc is already original and spontaneous. it gets viruses no ones ever heard of and crashes randomly : D YAY SCIENCE!

    jk I use a mac

  • Viruses are malfunctions and mistakes, they are not creating anything good themselves without human input.

  • we'll be busy putting down the robot uprising by the time robots take over....

  • lazy people!!!

  • Terminator...

    OMG. *Its happening*

  • to be fair id want the car colour thats just got that electro line under paint stuff thats well silver lookin, thats actually cool

  • WHO NEEDS JOBS?

  • Why? What a stupid question. Because we can.

  • That is the stupidest platform I've ever heard of. No robots = economic collapse.

  • haha owned!

  • The car looks quite good unpainted. 3:19

  • When HBO was new they played short films between feature films.

One short film was auto factory welding robots with "1812 Overture" music.

The sparks were synced to the music.

Can't find it on the net.

    Anyone?

  • They should make robot to repair the main Robots. lol

  • then what repairs the repair robot?

  • Do they have neural net processors?

  • i think only exotic cars are built by hand

  • yeah great idea robots do all the work less jobs for people. the bosses dont have to pay anyone to do work for them. now robots can work 24 hours a day with out rest or stoping or even conplaining. but who cares about the poeple.

  • the robots that check the welding accuracy is unsafe, there could be a malfunction and an unsafe weld and then what??

my opinion? let people do it, get some more jobs in the economy!

  • People could do it and that would create jobs but the beauty of robots is that they are less likely to make a mistake unlike people. Plus the bosses never have to worry about strikes or any other complaints. IT's just a reality that as we become more technologically advanced human workers will be in less demand.

  • yeah, truth.

  • Although new jobs are created because of the need for maintenance, so in the end it might just be the industrial revolution but on a smalelr scale again.

  • Robots making Robots...GREAT IDEA...

    Can you say skynet?

  • I gotta start watching this channel more.

  • No wonder why their cars are so cheap. They don't have to pay for manual labor.

  • wow technology today is shocking the robots could develop a mind of their own while working and no one would know it

freaky.....in future technology could turn against us

    =s

  • korean cars are crap.

    period

  • that fuckin robot soldered my cars door

  • most definetly, we had a hyundai terrican and it was in the repair shop every month!!! then we found out they stopped making them becuse there were to many faults.

  • never pay for antirust shit people, most cars will last ten years b4 any significant rust will be evident, even in countries where salt is used to melt snow on the roads. Your stealership will force you to pay for it but dont get taken.

  • the only way to stop the rust is by respraying it,

i've got a 1985 toyota trueno sprinter (the real name for a toyota corolla GTs) and its still as clean as it was back then

so yeah my 86 is fine! just keep respraying it

  • 4 miles of conveyer painting?! that must be a big facility...

  • too bad every robot in a car plant ive seen has been broken.

  • no wonder hyundais are shit, bwaha

    well, except the genesis

  • This is why we have so many homeless people in this world! The robots are taking all the jobs away! Humans use to occupy those assembly lines! Whats next?! It makes me tear when I think about it... (tear)

  • Well the robots are cheaper! If your willing to do it cheaper than the robot, go and replace him. People have brains to use them. If you want to do the robots job then dont complain about the pay!

  • maybe the world needs less people. go kill yourself.

  • Hmm. Technology, brought us so far, didn't it? Seems like we were just cave men, yesterday. And look us now! Were re-constructing the world of technology! One may say,"the more technology we aquire, the less oppurtunities will be there for humans."

  • pure genius...

  • so thats why their cars are so cheap, they dont have to pay for workers

  • maybe not auto workers, but IT workers dont come cheap.. and consistancy of product lowers faulty returns...

    I dont like hyundais anyway....

  • imagine doing that by hand from step 1

  • who buys hyundais?

  • we do.

  • Now if only you could maintain them with leftover pig guts and chicken bladders instead of paying thousands for maintenance and electricity bills then we'd be talking.

  • When a robotic factory that can make more general purpose robots that can make other robots *and* make robots that can mine, refine and produce raw materials and feedstocks to make more robots comes along, *then* they'll no longer need humans.. oh, and also robots that can write programs and alter programs to meet changing conditions, as well as make microchips, etc. All would be a "VonNuemann" factory. Self reproducing robots.

  • That is when we will need our "John Connors" or "Neos"

  • Nah. Long before that point, we will have merged. The old sci-fi shibboleth of the "rebellion of the robots" is kinda silly and assumes we become abusive toward them. A robot designed to do a job is fulfilled and happy (in a sense) doing well at what it was designed to do. Go and get the anime "Ghost in the Shell" to get an idea that is probably a *lot* more likely than "Terminator" *or* the very silly and unworkable "Matrix" :P

  • Man... Ghost in the Shell is one of my favorites animé. It rocks!

  • that wuz random

  • never buy a hyundai

  • Wow this is so cool! and so futuristic, but sadly it will put many people out of jobs, but it could also provide some for repairs for the robots and such.

  • They should paid Robots for all the job -.-

  • not good for future...It wud be a disaster if the robots entered into self ordering and self decision mode....

  • actually, robot are yet to think for themself. But once they able to, they can still only "think" not act, because they weren't made to do other tasks, physically and mentally

  • wow

  • robots don't join unions, no day-off, no insurance, ...

  • this is nothing if compare with my music robot in my brain

  • ...and this robot is the CEO of hyundai

  • XS-655 and GH-776 are talking about their day at work while KK-P-877 (an older model) has a problem with alcohol

  • So bailing out a large automobile manufacturer would not realistically save many "human" jobs. The only people left are the maintenance workers and management. The jobs have all been outsourced to Cybertron or Gobotron.

  • looks like somethin from a star wars movie..

    in all, fricken cool..

  • no wonder those cars are so crappy

  • Good vid!

I work with industrial automation and feel I should say robots are not taking your jobs! There are a hundred reasons for that but this isn't the place for that argument.

These are Kuka robots and they are very, very, very far from become self aware and "taking over".

  • hyundai are not known for their quality, nothing can beat human hands and their ability to make judgments if the product would pass reliability.

  • Actually, they are according to a new survey, and that can beat human hands. It would take a human quite a while to examine each car and humans are inefficient if you've noticed. Robots don't have errors. Humans do. These scanners are state-of-the-art and can detect the smallest fault. Not to mention a human can't weld down to precision of 1/1000 of an inch.

  • Robots do have errors. Nothing goes wrong when everything is working perfectly, but their parts wear down over time and, in all likelihood, their software have bugs. Those problems are a real hassle to fix. However, I agree that robots are more efficient than humans.

  • I respect your opinion, but the sales of Hyundai tells a different story. its one of the worst selling cars and has one of the lowest rating for reliability.

  • have to agree with inhuman216... Hyundai is not known for quality, even if compared to Toyota or Honda...

BUT i think those japanese car makers use lots of industrial robots too...

  • When I first saw the title, I immedietly thought of a robot armaggeddon.

  • Cool! Pretty soon the guy showing you around the factory will be a robot too.

  • remember the end of the first terminator movie?

    yikes.

  • woahh that's cool!
