A lot of people think Richard was on the black rock. It landed on the island in the 1800s, and I think Richard is WAY older than that. No less than 3,000years old I would guess. Maybe Richard was the first person ever to encounter the "limitless energy" Dr. Chang spoke of, and that energy gave him immortality. Just a thought.
Locke isn't supposed to be the leader. Alpert was wrong for taking Locke's 1954 advice. Locke certainly has a role to play in the grand scheme, but not leader.

I think that the explanation for why the O6 weren't included in the "blast radius" of the island is that they were in the air. The blast radius of the island is like a semisphere (or bubble) covering the island. Now, even if Jin (plus the zodiac people) and the helicopter were roughly at the same horizontal distance from the islnd, the helicopter people were above the island's bubble, thus excluding them.
That is definitely a theory I can get behind. In season 1, Walt was looking at the spanish comic book that had the polar bear in it. On the page after the bear was an island covered by a half-sphere/dome.
And so many people are calling Jin traveling through time a plot hole.

Hey thanks for answering my question about the Jin thing. I have another question ,here goes. Why did Ben become leader of the island? Locke gave richard the compass, Locke also told him to see him when he was born which he did. Do you think cause he never chose the compass as a lii boy Richard decided that Locke couldn't be 'the one' and moved on to Ben as a potenial leader? but then why would Richard try and recuit him when he was a little older as the guise of 'science camp' seems a bit odd.
I don't know. If Locke were destined to be the leader of the Others, then why have Ben? Maybe they needed an interim leader until Locke got there. Who knows? Chalk it up to Island lore like the 4-toed statue.
I think the Oceanic Six are the ones in the boat behind Sawyer, Locke and the rest. The water bottle is from where they flew out of to get back to the island. You can see someone get shot by Juliet before the time shift. I think it is Jack who catches the bullet. Iam sure I saw a british TV show on the set of Lost where they were shooting ep. 9 and Jack had a sling on.
Oh, I know everyone is going to say Ben's best line is "Destiny, John, is a fickle bitch" but MY favorite Ben line is "Well John, you've really gone and done it this time" after Locke blows up the sub. I also like the line about how they have a giant hamster on a wheel that powers the island.
How is Jin alive?? I had a feeling he would be but i don't understand how he could be since the helicopter never made it back and Frank knew how to get there. Its like they're saying that the bomb blast sent Jin flying so fast that he flew past the helicopter and landed in the radious of the island before it moved which is abit farfetched. no doubt they will have some explaination but it's not making sense atm..
Well, perhaps the blast radius of the island only accounted for the island itself, and the surrounding waters, not including the freighter. The captain of the freighter moved the ship within a certain number of miles from the island, maybe it was on the border. the O6 in the helicopter did not get caught in the blast because they were in the air.
The writers know the specific rules of the island, and they write within those rules. since we don't know the rules, it's more complicated.

Can anybody help me out here? im abit confused! is there a direct bearing to get to the island or not??? micheal was to go stay on a bearing of 325 and he'll find rescue(i think even in the game it was that bearing but im not sure).And then Faraday told Frank that to follow some next directions '40 miles north @305 then 7k east' which isnt direct at all.which leads to my next question.......
when the island moves through time, the bearing changes. in the premiere, daniel took out some type of metal device that he was going to use to find out something about the bearing. if the bearing stayed the same throughout the history of the island, then it would be a lot easier to find.
i think it's like an RSA cryptography code. the key is the numbers, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. but, not going WHEN the island is, is what keeps people from discovering the bearing to get onto the island.
The bearing changed from Michael's 325 to Daniel's 305, I'm betting, because the island moved inbetween these times. My guess is that the island moved when the hatch imploded which brought on the purple haze sky.

I agree with the point you made about the French team being sick because of the time jump or because they came in at the wrong bearing, i prefer the time jump though because it helps with the time loop theory more but ethier method doesn't explain Danielle.
My question: If the french did in fact die because of the "time jump illness" then that means the island was moved before, who moved it? Whitmore would be my guess.

Alot of people say are saying 'Why didn't danielle remember Jin when they see eachother again' i was thinking wouldn't it be like how Desmond remembered seeing Faraday in the season opener? He woke up and remembered or what ever... but since danielle is dead now no one knows if she would of suddenly remembered seeing Jin or not. sounds right when i think about it. does anybody have another thought?

I'm pretty sure the airline that the O6 take is Aijera Airways so could it be them shooting on the outrigger? I think that there are a couple new characters that will be introduced as well, maybe some other people from the flight, so perhaps it's them.

Hey thanks for answering my question about the Jin thing. I have another question ,here goes. Why did Ben become leader of the island? Locke gave richard the compass, Locke also told him to see him when he was born which he did. Do you think cause he never chose the compass as a lii boy Richard decided that Locke couldn't be 'the one' and moved on to Ben as a potenial leader? but then why would Richard try and recuit him when he was a little older as the guise of 'science camp' seems a bit odd.

I don't know. If Locke were destined to be the leader of the Others, then why have Ben? Maybe they needed an interim leader until Locke got there. Who knows? Chalk it up to Island lore like the 4-toed statue.

I think the Oceanic Six are the ones in the boat behind Sawyer, Locke and the rest. The water bottle is from where they flew out of to get back to the island. You can see someone get shot by Juliet before the time shift. I think it is Jack who catches the bullet. Iam sure I saw a british TV show on the set of Lost where they were shooting ep. 9 and Jack had a sling on.

Oh, I know everyone is going to say Ben's best line is "Destiny, John, is a fickle bitch" but MY favorite Ben line is "Well John, you've really gone and done it this time" after Locke blows up the sub. I also like the line about how they have a giant hamster on a wheel that powers the island.

How is Jin alive?? I had a feeling he would be but i don't understand how he could be since the helicopter never made it back and Frank knew how to get there. Its like they're saying that the bomb blast sent Jin flying so fast that he flew past the helicopter and landed in the radious of the island before it moved which is abit farfetched. no doubt they will have some explaination but it's not making sense atm..

Well, perhaps the blast radius of the island only accounted for the island itself, and the surrounding waters, not including the freighter. The captain of the freighter moved the ship within a certain number of miles from the island, maybe it was on the border. the O6 in the helicopter did not get caught in the blast because they were in the air.
The writers know the specific rules of the island, and they write within those rules. since we don't know the rules, it's more complicated.

I put these on SeanieB page and never got much of a response so im going to copy and paste here.
Can anybody help me out here? im abit confused! is there a direct bearing to get to the island or not??? micheal was to go stay on a bearing of 325 and he'll find rescue(i think even in the game it was that bearing but im not sure).And then Faraday told Frank that to follow some next directions '40 miles north @305 then 7k east' which isnt direct at all.which leads to my next question.......

when the island moves through time, the bearing changes. in the premiere, daniel took out some type of metal device that he was going to use to find out something about the bearing. if the bearing stayed the same throughout the history of the island, then it would be a lot easier to find.
i think it's like an RSA cryptography code. the key is the numbers, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. but, not going WHEN the island is, is what keeps people from discovering the bearing to get onto the island.

The bearing changed from Michael's 325 to Daniel's 305, I'm betting, because the island moved inbetween these times. My guess is that the island moved when the hatch imploded which brought on the purple haze sky.

This episode reminded me about Walt for some reason. We haven't heard anything from him yet and maybe this will lead to Walt coming back on the island thinking his dad is still alive, especially since the Oceanic 6 seem like they are going to return.

Very good points as usual, I've been a fan of your videos for awhile now. I agree with the point you made about the French team being sick because of the time jump or because they came in at the wrong bearing, i prefer the time jump though because it helps with the time loop theory more but ethier method doesn't explain Danielle.
My question: If the french did in fact die because of the "time jump illness" then that means the island was moved before, who moved it? Whitmore would be my guess.
