This scene is a great example of how SV could have made terrific scenes without action but instead the last season resorted to tiring romance plots. It's very evident in the end where Lois has to recognize Clark through their "true love" instead of just checking if he has the scar on his arm...
The missing action scene also wasn't revelant here...unlike at the end of Patriot where Clark's escape was cut off.
My favorite part of this is seeing how much the Watchtower got fucked up by the fight between Ollie, Tess, and Lois. I really would have loved to have seen how it all played out.
I love the end of this scene, look at their faces, they are about to kill Clark and Tess and Lois are almost crying, you can see the pain in their faces, it is cute, how much they love him...
Guys, think about this: the real world Lionel became good because of a Clark which was raised by the Kents. But the mirror Lionel stands like evil, because nothing stooped him. Another example is Oliver, hee has the same inttentions of saving the world, if he would be the opposite, he would be evil. In other words, Lionel is the same in both worlds.
he will be in episode 15 or 16 i think and Martha Kent will also returning, rumors add Martian Manhunter and Johnathan Kent oooh that would be a sweeet confrontation lol
Well would you call that normal? You said yourself Lionels more evil guessin gravity works slightly better for humans in this verse, he'd probably kill good lionel if he was still alive lol.@Davis385
I mean for a human being to kick a kryptonian or anyone for that matter two or three feet sliding across the floor is above the level of normal @Davis385
@Dedokai32 Have you guys considered the fact that Lionel, being the power hungry villain he is, 'enhanced/upped' his human capabilities? I mean, in that verse he had access to alot of krptonian materials and knowing Lionel, that would be the first thing he'd do in order to even out the odds. Think bout it, why would the evil Clark remain under Lionel for so long if Lionel was merely a 'weak' human lol.
@Davis385 lol Indeed indeed..like they always do eh? =_=' *sigh*.
But I tell ya what though! Im loving the fact that Lionel is back, cause compared to all the other villains, THIS Lionel is WHOLE different breed. He gives the Art Of Villainy a new meaning O_O. Heh... Im definately looking foward to when his evil schemming starts. Aint nobody can play a game o' chess like Lionel Luthor. Lex aint got nothing on him LMAO
You know, I didn't find it even remotely believable when OUR Lionel tried to be a better man. THIS Lionel, I absolutely believe. Evil Lionel feels right. Why? Because you know where you stand with Evil Lionel.
@kman20 Oh, I'm sure he did! My first reaction when I saw this scene was that Lex probably went through this in the RU. And I think it's only natural that Clark would sympathize with Lex a bit more getting a firsthand experience of Lionel's rage.
@kman20 Doubt it. This version of Lionel has about twenty times the evil of real world one, so he's consequently far more abusive. Real world Lionel at least loved his son, albeit in a really warped kind of way. This version doesn't give a damn about anyone.
@KartarNighthawk which makes me think that this version of lionel will be the mentor of the lex luthor clone...but i could be wrong lol..but it makes sense doesnt it?
0:31 Clark looks like he's fed up with the whole thing! XD

it's amazing that lionel raised clark and could not tell that was not clark luthor.
i wonder when in offscreenville lionel finally figured out that was not clark luthor.because when we saw him again in beacon it was like he knew.
i guess i wonder why he did not put 2 & 2 together because clark kent did not seem that convincing trying to pretend he was someone else.

Nobody else can beat up a man like a total thug while telling a sophisticated life story that pegs him as a genius. Lionel Luthor is the man.

@jasdeviel It IS a good point. But knowing the writers, they're probably gonna gloss over that and keep Lionel as a 'weak' human.
