Wow, great job! I delivered my daughter at that same hospital 2yrs ago. I'm glad your hospital experience was a positive one. I didn't care much for that hospital, so now being pregnant with another little girl I decided a home birth was a much better match for me. God bless! :)
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in five weeks and are planning on using the Mongan method. Thank you for sharing your experience. I have watched quite a few homevideos of couples that used HypnoBirthing and this was beautiful. I can see how much love and support you had in each other. Thank you for sharing it.
I really enjoyed watching each part of the birth. Truly amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this! Seeing women handle the surges so well give me strength to have my natural birth in January. Congratulations!! :)
Amazing! Congratulations for being so strong, mama! So inspirational. I only hope my husband can be this supportive and considerate when I attempt an all natural home birth in September. Thank you for sharing. :)
I'm about to have a natural birth with my first child anyday now. This was inspirational thank you for posting. I wanted home birth but we decided on a hospital two blocks from our home instead. I'm a certified massage therapist and I believe 100% in natural medicine. I pray I can do this. Thank you again for sharing your strength with us.
You're welcome! I really wanted people to be inspired and perhaps help overcome their own fears of the birthing process by recording this journey. It makes me feel like I've had some success in that goal, to get responses like this. :)
Look at that ponytail on dad, wow...... Maybe it was him that thought naming baby after a sting song would be a great idea. People just keep getting stupider!
I gave birth to my son Denzin in December ALL NATURALLY just as she did. But she seemed much calmer. To me the last 5 minutes were so painful that I felt I was going to pass out. All I could think about was GET THE BABY OUT so the pain can stop. When I saw Denzin, it's like the pain magically disappeared. What a miracle it is to give a life. I would do it all over again if I had to WITH the pain! :-)
I am due any minute here and I too plan on having a hypnobirth it is so awesome for you to share your birth people like me really appreciate it-it gives me alot of strength
Hehe, yes. Well, she's cheerful because good progression is being made and it helps for the people around a birthing mother to be cheerful. Having a light mood helps keep a laboring mother from going absolutely ape crazy.
This video was amazing... so beautiful, giving birth to this little angel.... being a mother of 2, i thought this was beautiful.... this made me cry. Congradulations to you both!
That was so different to a lot of other birthing videos I have viewed here. It reminded me of one of my 2nd labour and delivery. A lot of them are covered over with beautiful music and women who seem to be able to sit up, talk and smile in between contractions and when pushing baby out. I don't relate to them! your video shows the intense pain and the hard work it can take to labour in the end and push those some times stubborn babies out. Fantastic job, its such an effort and you did great!!!!!
Oh my gosh, when I have a baby, I am definately doing hypno birthing. ive seen a couple of vids and the women seem so much calmer and relaxed instead of screaming.
All labours are different and so are women. My first labour was calm and I self-talked myself through it, but my second one was eratic as baby was pressing on a nerve or coming out little on an angle, moaning and making noise was the only way for me to cope, it worked better than calm talking. the hypno birthing women still feel the pain, you can tell, they jut express it differently - its still painful!
Oh my god, you are amazing, a champion calm peaceful Mum. Congratulations. I hope I handle my first birth in September as well as you did. This brought tears to my eyes.

why did the midwife have you on your back? Its the most unnatural way to birth, not to mention uncomfortable.

no offence intended here, but the midwife sounds a bit too cheerful for what Betsy is going through...
Do you know what I mean?
