Animated Squirrel, yep u can pick up ANYTHING in the forest. AND ou can control lightning at one point in the game.

@AnimatedSquirrel i had this game and im not sure if you can... oh and if u pick up an animal's baby and move it around fast with the baby still in ur hand the parents will get mad... trust me my friend did that to test it and he got attacked lol... i think u can even drown the animals too...
