Difference is Allies and Russia were the nations defending themselves against invaders bent on world domination. And as for innocent German citizens what there were were substantially not enough. If your not part of the solution your part of the problem and like it or not the only solution a majority of german nationals of the time were interested in was the final one!
2 years ago somebody said 'Rebus'. As in 'Inspector'? We long ago came to understand the idea that not all cops are angels and not all crooks devils. Even now, this is one of the few series that dared to show not all Germans were Nazis and sometimes not even all Nazis were psychopaths - and there were some evil bastards on the Allied side too. Were the Soviets on 'our' side any less totalitarian? Were the USA or South Africa or Franco who came to power as Luftwaffe training so different?
