  • what if this is a laser 40 at a combine

  • @trainingwitheps thanks man we had 50 Yard dash in my football try outs I ran it in 8.00 seconds I set a team and school record thanks I appreciate it i passed also

  • @415kobe ?? 50 yeards 8 seconds? That's slow man. What grade you in?

  • im 14 I run a 5.39 nd I squat 295 weigh 131 lbs and im 5'5...I kno I can run faster than what I've been doing but I need tips on running can anyone help...and nice vid

  • @walterjb14 He has another video for running.

  • I run a 7.1, can anybody help me? And I can only squat 450 and I weigh 150. I wanna get it to 4.5

  • i run a 4.46

  • Can you tell me what drills are good to increase acceleration? I tried things like combination of sprinting and jogging and i don`t see a significant change in my times. Any source of information would be appreciated :)

  • @vydraf Try our other video which is titled: How to Run Faster - Speed Training Drills to Improve Overall Speed, Sprinting Mechanics, and Form)

  • @trainingwitheps HAHAHA I never thought about that arm swinging and saving time, I got a 4.8-4.9, bet you I could save another tenth if I fool my 50 year old coach

  • @TheIronmac12 somebody started that watch when you were half way down the track lol

  • I have 3 questions:

    1. During the breathing technique am I supposed to exhale when you explode out of your stance or hold it during the drive phase?

    2. Is my hand supposed to be on the line or behind the line?

    3. If I'm 5'6.5" how far back does my front foot have to be from the line?

  • took off 4 tenths of a second off my forty time in winter speed training

  • Good video. I wanted to see you do it tho lol

  • Great video mate.

  • Hey is this good, I run 100m in 12.04 seconds and I did that when I was 13 years old.

I am 14 now and going to beat that record.

  • @mzaky911 when i was 12 i run 100m in 8.27 seconds....bye

  • @TheIronmac12 2 things here

You should go for the world record.

I have a disease called osgood schlatter which disables your knee after/during a period of exercise depending on the person, you can't even bend it back and forth without feeling any pain., thats why I can't go as fast as I can I could injure my knee.

  • @TheIronmac12 Even search that disease up, its real.

  • @mzaky911 world record??? lol... a guy that is the same age as me run 100m in 8 seconds...lool

  • @TheIronmac12 Lol.

  • @TheIronmac12 that is complete BS the Fastest Man in the World Usain Bolt ran the 100 meters in 9.84 seconds no way your friend ran it in 8 seconds

  • This summer i went to a speed and strength camp for 2 months what i noticed is that i really didnt get faster in sprinting but im alot faster getting off the ball

  • Dude this actually help I ran a 4.31 in a nike sparq combine now i have offers from alabama and etc

  • I don't know if this is going to help me or not I have recently decided to walk on my university's football team after talking to a player on the team he said I would make the scout team as is, but its too late for this season I am going to talk to the coaches in the spring before school ends and I need to improve my 40 and get in best shape possible before hand.

  • i'am 6'1 266 and i run a 5.0 i think its pretty good would love to get it under 5!

  • i want to see him run his 40

  • i dont get why help other people

  • Dang, my 40 yd dash is a 4.85 sec. Agh, if I could only get it down to 4.5 or 4.55.

  • What's the average 40 for a tall receiver in NFL??

  • @xChristFanaticx sorry only the short reciever time

  • thx mannn im a junior in high school runnin a 4.43 next year its gonna be a 4.2

  • Thanks, helped a lot. Im a freshman and with a 4.82 and I weigh 150.

  • i went from an average of around 5.9 to an average 5.1-5.2 thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Smitherines161 that is very sad dude

  • @jimbeen1771 im only 13

  • @Smitherines161 doesn't excuse you. that is slow as shit

  • @jimbeen1771 my best is 4.9. is thhat any better

  • @Smitherines161 think of it this way. 4.9 x 2 = 9.8 4.9 / 2 = 2.45. 9.8 + 2.45 = 12.25. you had that pace 100 for 40 meters. that sucks

  • @jimbeen1771 actually, 40 meters is 43.74452 yards. 40yd / 4.9 = 8.16327. 43.74452yd / 8.16327 = 5.3587. so really i would have a 5.3587 for 40 meters. or are you talking about 100 meters? 100m is 109.3613 yards. so 109.3613 / 8.16327 = 13.39675 for 100 meters. still thats alright for 13 yrs old

  • @jimbeen1771 i mean 8.16327 yards per second im traveling

  • @jimbeen1771

At least this dude is trying to get faster. I ran a 5.7 as a freshman and I run a 4.6 right now, in my senior season... People can get better, especially if their coordination is just catching up with them. Don't be high and mighty

  • great tips

  • Just finished my 40 yard today.. I ran a 4.62 as a junior in high school.. Thanks a lot

  • thiss is waaaaaay better than howcast and videojug

  • good video running my 40 tomorrow im playin fullback and in the spring i ran a 5.1 lets see if training and this video works

  • What is your 40 yard dash time ?

  • Gunna be runnin my first timed 40 at jmu soon thanks I'm sure this'll help

  • this sounds a lot like defranco's starting tips, except he doesn't have a detailed video. thanks guys!

  • he reminds me of matt seracen from friday night lights :)

  • What if you are not running in a combine is it better to have the arm swinging than to put it on your hip?

  • @Kryptsanies If you put you hand up and swing it downward when you start you can generate more momentum forward (I would do it in a race). But conceal it in timed event.

  • @trainingwitheps If I'm racing in a 40 should I even go down into this stance in the first place or is that part efficient no matter if it is a timed event or a race?

  • @trainingwitheps i run a 4.9.........i want to run a 4.6. how long will this take, and is it possible?

  • @479cdrp479 damn you slow

  • @FliiGuiiTrisTrell and damn your a shitty rapper,

  • @479cdrp479 Tru !

  • @FliiGuiiTrisTrell nah man im playin, its isnt bad

  • @479cdrp479 I Feel You !

  • @Kryptsanies your question doesnt even make any sense. just watch the fuckin video

  • @ROB6ZOMBIE666 I mean as in if its a 40 yard race and not a combine where you are timed off the arm swing

  • thanks man this video halped out so much, i run track for my highschool and this shaved about 9 tenths of a second of my 40 time and set a new record for my schools track records

  • @MrUncleaustin Awesome, glad to hear the feedback!!

  • @trainingwitheps Hey, i am a senior in highschool, measure 5'5, and weigh 125 and i run a 4.7 right now which i am not too proud of. i want to play football in college but i need to get crazy fast if i wanna play next year, being the small size that i am. Do you think it is possible to drop it down to under 4.5 before then?

  • @OreoMetal dude 4.7 is fast, especially for one as short as you (no offense intended). It takes a lot of people a whole year of training to shave off 0.1 s but you could do it.

  • @Avatar1178 Thanks man, none taken haha. alright i appreciate the encouragement man!

  • This is really good. I thought it was going to be garbage, but surprisingly.good. Probably most informative forty film on youtube

  • @Foothilldan1 Thanks we will release some new videos this summer and possibly come out with a speed training manual and/or an all inclusive combine secrets DVD

  • @trainingwitheps So the first 10 yards you are holding your breath then release after the 10 yard drive.

  • @TheMadBlackGamer Yes, its called the balsamic breathing technique according to Joe Defranco. Get a big breath before you start, hold breath for first 10 yards, then release at 10 yards and get another breath at 20 yards and hold till finish. If you can't do the second part which requires practice, at least hold your breath for the first 10 yards.

  • @trainingwitheps I hope you didn't mean hold again until the finish because that's sounds like you are trying to kill me. Lol

  • @TheMadBlackGamer Hold 10 yards, release and get another breath at 20 yards and hold to finish...This is the balsamic breathing technique. It is used because of the same reasons people hold their breath when they are trying to get another rep on bench press. If you can't do the whole technique, at least hold for the first 10 yards, but if you practice, you can do it!

  • @trainingwitheps I guess I will try it. I see why some sprinters do it. Thanks.

  • @Foothilldan1 i was thinking and same thing haha

  • thanks man, helped alot!
