Reagan was the greatest president in our lifetime. He ended the Cold War, lowered taxes and spurred the greatest financial comeback. Under his administration, Communism was defeated. I was only a child when he was president, but as I look back on the 80s I can see what he truly accomplished. Carter was THE WORST president (even Clinton was better). We've always used the Electoral College to elect a president. The Dems have been in control of the government more than the Republicans over the years and they never had a problem with it until it went against them! Then they wanted to change the rules after the fact.

Actually the financial problems in this country started under Clinton when people started investing heavily in internet companies which they thought would all prosper like Microsoft & everyone would get rich. Of course most turned out to be empty promises. Reagan was the greatest president in our lifetime. He ended the Cold War, lowered taxes and spurred the greatest financial comeback. Under his administration, Communism was defeated. I was only a child when he was president, but as I look back on the 80s I can see what he truly accomplished. Carter was THE WORST president (even Clinton was better). So before you start attacking what you know little about, I suggest you do some research. Reagan was a true conservative leader.. not a wannabe.

Site specific examples of how unemployment was higher under Reagan than it was Carter. I can site them. 7.7% unemployment under Carter. 7.5% ending with 5.2% in just the first 4 years. While Democrats try to pass legislation towards higher welfare recipients and social security payments, Republicans focused on greater self reliance and personal savings.

Actually the financial problems in this country started under Clinton when people started investing heavily in internet companies which they thought would all prosper like Microsoft & everyone would get rich. Of course most turned out to be empty promises. Then there was the Dems in Congress who pushed lenders to give loans to people who could never pay them back, so poor people could buy homes-which led to lots of people buying bigger homes than they could afford. A run for senate would help Sarah Palin shake off that nasty small-town image that plagued her a bit when people mentioned qualifications.
I'm forced to wonder why, if she's barely left Alaska in her whole life, she would want to be more than Governor of her entire world. She's probably just doing as she is told, much like why Bush was initially a good pick for the republicans for President, a popular face without any strong feelings either way on real issues.
