In 2016, it will be the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney's passing away. I sincerely hope they play this at the service, there won't be a dry eye in the house.
@MrTonyfreeman7: Your logic is flawed and your opinion is trash. It's not because you know two industrial pioneers that you know everything about music. I saw most of your comments and you're always using the same argument, it's laughable. I love NNW and ENN, I feel sorry that someone like you is allowed to used their names for such poor criticism. At least try to elaborate on why you don't like his music instead of using "overrated" as a crutch. Then people might respect your opinion.
I'm glad I'm not home alone. I used to love Donald duck what's the matter with him? Glad there were no Francis Bacon paintings in this one. (That sink was bad enough). Now I have to sleep!
I saw the comments and thought, "surely, it doesn't sound like death metal donald duck". Got to 4.19. Yep, it sounds like death metal donald duck. Brilliant regardless.
It's not the most cheering of music - I wouldn't necessarily put it on at a birthday party. But I like his mournful singing - and the originality of the piece.
oh my god i love scott walker but ive tried so hard to listen to this but ive just fell to pieces laughing at the end so sorry i cart stop laughing was i suppose too....brilliant.
@Orochimaru666999 : radio took "alternative" and used it for music that was more edgy, or, an alternative listening means compared to "easy listening" music. either way, radio = pop/academic structures
and just to be clear. if i had to label this, i'd say it's punk.
Do you really think it is scarier than this? In fact, is it really scary at all? Sure, it has disgusting lyrics, but it all sounds a bit contrived, to my ears anyway. The are several songs on the drift that are genuinley unnerving, in a way that I can't compare to any other music.
If you don't get it, you have failed your IQ exams. You may leave the room. Stupid!

"alternative" to what? Talent? It's just shite and you know it is.

The Drift (2006) is much more intense than Tilt (1995) and much more bleak. Don't listen to it if you've got the blues!

all music is 'alternative' to other genres, That word ceased to have meaning years ago.

this is great, but einsturzende neubauten were doing the whole deconstruction of music, bash on wood, metal and meat things years before scott walker.

@feydragrey7 Why does it matter who did it first?
LouiseFRhodes 2 years ago
it doesnt but people where commenting on his originality for doing so.

...and cavemen did it millenia before Einsturzende Neubauten. All were completely effective.

Donald Duck has joined Radiohead - nice combination. LOL

@LiteracyLabyrinth It's closer to Donald Duck and solo Johnny Greenwood... this is a way more fucked up than Radiohead would dare to be.
