I drove a an RTV kubota dont know what model but it was orange it was nice but you could ease of the pedal and it would jerk to a stop I didnt like that part but other than that it was nice and I can go back drive anytime my friend isnt busy

its called a hydrostatic transmission, its more or less the same idea as a jake brake.. careful not to take your foot off the pedal too fast.. head have been hit on the windshield. :p

For someone to say that one of the Kubotas (or anything but a Polaris Ranger ) are better for doing work simply means that they are talking out of their ass. If a person checks the specs of ALL available UTV's on the market today there in not one that even comparable in towing or hauling capacity of Ranger XP.Off the show room floor the Ranger XP will also outrun all but the 1000 Prowler and Ranger RZR.Most of Polaris atvs even have equal or higher towing capacity then their competitions UTV's

i drive one of these at work all the time.lots of torque but you cant spin the wheels so all the power doesent get to the ground its ok for working but to play and cruse i like my honda.

Have one of these where i work and they are great. A 5 year old kid could drive one, they are so easy to drive. Brilliant for farm work. Doesn't matter that they don't go fast, on a farm etc you want practical rather than fast. Great bit of kit.

I agree completely! I have one! The only thing I would have to say to someone new to this thing is not to let off the throttle too fast, because of that hydrostat transmission; you might throw someone off! :p

Oh i know what you mean. It just stopped instantly when you release the throttle. One when i was still new to it, i had reversed out, then i had to get out to close a gate so i took my foot off and it just stopped, got out and closed the gate then got back in, i forgot to shift into a forward gear, pressed the throttle and it shot backwards, it shocked me, i lifted off and it stopped suddenly and i flew forward LOL

These are a UTILITY VEHICLE...its not like your Yamaha or ArcticCat, which are ment more for sport. The Kubota RTV Series is made to work, not go fast.

Nice video. Well done! The RTV900 has 21hp. Kubota uses the same diesel engine in some of their zero turn mowers if I remember right. I got to drive an orange RTV900 a couple years ago. It is one cool machine! The RTV900 can have an optional hand throttle attached. Some models already have it like the worksite and turf utility models. The RTV1100 comes with a hand throttle as standard. Being the RTV is hydro I really think all of them should have a hand throttle as standard equipment.

@supersnot4 Yea 3 cyl Kubota inline diesel. comes with 22 BHP at 2800 rpm's. Even with low amount of horsepower compared to most utility to vehicles it still will go through just about anything due to its high end torque.

I use mine for chores around our farm, and occasionally following my grandson around on his quad. If you are looking for speed, this is not the unit for you. But if you are looking for a mini dumptruck that can actually work, this would be the unit.
