Megadeth has been around for almost 30 years, so "it's close" could mean to him in maybe two or three years after releasing maybe one or two new records. Of course it's not cool that he speaks of retirement, but don't overexaggerate it! In fact, Dave said that he believed this was right now the best linup ever and he wants to continue with the guys, so what?
@JackTarJakst3R In his memoir he clearly states that he senses there is more to focus on in the next stage of his life than banging his head on stage with Megadeth ("Not that I don't enjoy it.") -- he's done this for 30 years. Now he's ready to explore some other things. It's his life. Good for him. Recorded music lives on forever, so there will always be Megadeth to listen to. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next. Go Dave!
he needs to at least go get some therepy for his prblem i mean he already fucked his arm up and got over it, he needs to get help. I have been a fan for 11 years and finally saved enough for a concert, i want him to come back to GA or TN to see him play again with Metallica or at least see him play none the less
well his hands and neck hurt from intense gigging. its better he retires soon before his conditions start to worsten. Itll be a sad moment for metal, but im all for health. Wouldnt want him popping his neck during a gig, nor would I want people to say that he sucks in the next few years cause he cant play right because of his hands.
