  • @ianBAMP If I have time to log on to a social network and leave my 2 cents in, I will. Since you are so displeased, all I can say is. Sorry that you had a terrible time at World of Dance & totally understand that you will not be coming back next year if we decide to come back to Hawaii since seems so many people don't support the culture, growth and kid's passion towards dance. You are more worried about a trophy & prize money than seeing the one common thing that we love. DANCE!

  • @ianBAMP I am one to never to hide behind a username: This is Myron Marten the creator of World of Dance. In every competition, no matter what it is or event. Their will always be individuals hating the result. That's life. We take it and move on. You do not agree with the results, please contact the 5-7 credible judges that we have on our panel. Their average scores as a collective came out to 247 winning by 1 point. Just 1 point. They judged dancing, not the color of their props.

  • OVAH

  • I love! I literally love the theatrics but with that it did not take away the soul purpose of dance.

24/7 you did an amazing job, my jaw dropped watching you guys perform, so very clean and in-sync. With the gymnastics I was like yes finally no ugly tumbling or as people call it "tricks". You represented the 808 state awesomely I applaud you!! :) I have so much to say but lets leave that to another time. CONGRATZ 24/7!!!

  • Pretty dope performance. Not sure how others take to the props and everything as far as the competitive aspect. But as far as the performance itself, it kept me entertained and hardly any dull moments. BIG UPS 24/7!!!

  • Whoever is hating, take it to a forum or another place please. These crews all put their best work and tried their hardest in these competitions. These judges also are professionals who know what they're talking about. So please. Stop with the negative comments and just watch the videos.

  • Now for the dancing..... I couldn't have been more proud of everyone who got on stage. I was impressed by each studio's style and camaraderie. To MY 24-Vii family.... Thanks for always giving "Unko" a good show!!!

  • To the WORLD and WORLD OF DANCE...

Now that the ignorance is gone, I can finally comment....Thank you for taking the time and consideration in coming to Hawaii. As a DAD of one Hawaii dancer, I appreciate an organization like yours COMING TO US with an event like this. My daughter travels often to participate in various workshops and competitions to better herself and fulfill her passion of dance. BELIEVE me, I know the expense involved. I'm hoping the ignorant bitterness shown in the deleted

  • @upholsterynoah Thank you for the kind words and appreciation towards our event, we are also thankful for your time that you put into your daughter's passion towards dance and having her participate in our event. We think any dance community, small or large should have a the opportunity to express their talents to the world and that is our goal to show it to everyone.

  • @ianBAMP

    1. REALLY? WHO cares if people are upset about the outcome? I didnt realize they had a vote that counted.

    2. DONT GET IT TWISTED. People are complaining because they wanted someone else to WIN. FYI The HATE is easy to see and sore losing is very unflattering. How many excuses for hate comments are we going to read?

  • @ianBAMP

    3. I like how your saying someone is impersonating the WOD comments. Too bad your the only hater comment they haven't deleted.

    4. Congrats to those who openly disrespected other studios, dancers, judges and productions of WOD in Hawaii. People who bash kids and performers create a bad rep for themselves and are soon ignored.

  • @ianBAMP

    5. Lack of dancing? I always understood that it was more difficult to use props. I think ABDC has proven that...

    6. Tricks? Gymnastics, stilts, costumes are all in ADDITION to dance. They complete a PERFORMANCE which is a professional level ABOVE just dancing.

    7. Cheap? The only thing cheap and distasteful is the comments from haters I've read about 247 and this vid....

    8. just sayin.

  • @jbicondova You Go Girl!!! hahahahaha

  • Tg

  • AMAZING! World-class performance!

  • For anyone who is not pleased with the props and theatrics in performances at World of Dance. Unfortunately, we have only been around less than 3 years and blessed to be how we leave our mark in the dance community. Everything that you saw at 24/7 has been done in all the major competitions in the past 10 years like Body Rock, Bustagroove, Vibe, Battlefest, Prelude etc etc, these are dance performances. Dance is self expression. So don't think you have the right to judge, just appreciate.

  • @Deafsty You're right. I absolutely loved their choreography. And even watching their last year's performance, they had really clean, on-point, entertaining dancing. Having visuals and a storyline is what sets them apart and makes them noticeable. And when they used stilts last year and came in 2nd nobody complained... so idk what the fuss about it is now. And having a band... well, I believe performers dance to live bands all the time. It's called PERFORMING ARTS.

  • I really didn't mind the props because the dancing was still so good. But maybe that's just me...

  • I thought everyone at WOD was awesome! Loved the energy that everyone put out! All the teams were amazing! Everyone must've put everything they had into their performances!

  • WHERES THE ALOHA?

  • i don't understand the hate and negativity from this. seriously? here, take it from someone who ACTUALLY attended WOD hawaii 2011: 24/7 did absolutely amazing! and i'm from a different dance studio, and i still think this was amazing! get this; it's a dance competition. do what you need to do in order to win. whether it's bringing people out on stilts and drums. dancing can evolve to almost anything! just like this performance. which obviously made them win. i will never understand the hate

  • All negative comments and complaints will be deleted within the next few hours. We respect all opinions but sometimes we do not want to publicize any negativity towards our dance community whether someone is right or wrong but this is not the way you want to lead and talk about individuals who just want to dance. We are more than willing to discuss anything you like, but off social networks. Think about it...

  • @WORLDOFDANCETOUR Thank You!!!!!! It takes work, dedication, passion, and commitment to dance! I can't wait to be in the audience to cheer the dancers on!!!!!

  • @LilR0berts I guess the best way to say it, if you are not pleased with the people who participate at World of Dance from competitors, judges, staff and performers and what we are all about, all we can say is please dont take part. I will not agree or disagree with your comments but I have never seen so much hate or issues in a dance city/community for one another.

  • @WORLDOFDANCETOUR Let's be clear, the views that are anti-24/7 are not that of Hypersquad Dance Company. Hype has the privilege of working with various studios locally and abroad. To suspend all sense of dignity over a competition is NOT a value HDC practices. Anyone can post in favor of any studio, drop negative comments and remain anonymous. It shouldn't reflect upon the heart of the studio.

  • @bigsole1972 Yes I know, I have spoken with directors and members of Hype and other studios and we all know it is not specific dancers of any studio, but ignorant parents and fans trying to state an opinion that at the end just degrades our dance community.

  • @WORLDOFDANCETOUR Parents will be parents. I don't think some who commented here are ignorant, just overly emotional about their disagreement. I'm sure they're good people. They're just standing up for their children. I hope they can learn to process it better and move on. As for ianBAMP, stop it. I'm a Hypersquad parent and you irritating ME coz! 'NUFF already. Let's focus on bigger and better things brutha (or sista) We got a lot of work to do in the coming days :]

  • @bigsole1972 Yes, we are all very excited to see Hype studios to defend their WOD LA Championship title in April. Thank you for all the love and support. We love Josh and rest of the Hype Family to the fullest. We are very proud of many dancers and studios in Hawaii, we just the passion and love for dance truly grows as it has been for the past 10 years.

  • @bedlamsplayground I don't think they made a wrong decision as well in Los Angeles. I agree that Hype earned the win in Los Angeles and I am sorry but we do not focus all our time on youtube.com If you would like to speak with us, please contact us in more of a professional manner than complaining with a username on a social network.

  • @bedlamsplayground Is it individuals like yourself who hold back our community of growing. Prizes are just a bonus when it comes to a performance and competition. Why cant you just appreciate everyone's hard work and support all dancers from the novice to industry professionals. When Hype has won the past 2 comps they have entered, no one has complained like yourself when others have the same right on what the judges decided. Everyone was amazing, and that is that!

  • @bedlamsplayground Are you honestly going to complain and disagree on what the judges decision was at WOD Hawaii. Just because a team likes to add creativity, theatrics and props does not take away from someone's skill level of dance which they were being judged on. If you would like discredit our judges, since you are now an expert please contact them. They are judge of scoring & remember the difference was 1 pount from 1st & 2nd place & Hype had to make last min. changes.

  • JEKA JANE GAVE A STANDING EVASION ?? NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!! JHEEZEE

  • Congrats 24/7. I've always loved your theatrics. I honestly didn't think this was that type of competition, but hey, we learn something new everyday. Enjoy your well fought, hard earned victory. You went up with the best and came out on top. We all win in the end because Hawaii definitely has talent to look forward to!

  • This group was amazing to watch. The drummers caught me by surprise. Hope I get to film with their crew next time I'm in Hawaii.

  • mad respect!

  • Haters gonna hate! They didn't win for nothing. Hard work and talent pays off and that's why they won. With or without all the props, I've seen them perform and they tear that stage up each time. Woohoo!! Congrats 24/7!

  • Great performance! I liked a lot of about this performance! Its something new compared to some of the other performances! I can see why people may wonder what would happen if they didn't have all the extra things in this performance! BUT this is a competition and in order to win you have to bring it 110% that's how every studio goes to a competition. They bring everything they have to offer in order to win! In this performance you can see that they brought everything they had! Congratulations!

  • @xtheblueonex Yes. Have you ever seen them perform without all the extra stuff? They're just as amazing.

  • I know for a fact that if they didn't have all the stilts, acrobatics, and even the drumline, they would STILL kill it.

  • 24/7 Just uses what they have and just so happens they have everything. Who can you blame if they have people that have stilts, people who can flip, and all that other stuff, they're using their resources as would any other studio would have. They deserved this win no If's, and's or but's about it. Dancing serves a purpose; to convey messages and thats exactly what they did and they looked good doing it.

  • This was an ABSOLUTE AMAZING performance, even without all of the props and acrobatics FIRST PLACE was with its rightful owner at 24/7! This week I had the HONOR to perform and become close with 24/7 and by my friends and I from LA coming in only a week prior to the performance...24/7 was very understanding and HOMELY! They also demonstrate the meaning of TEAMWORK! They have worked EXTREMELY hard and strive for this moment! This performance was very creative! 24/7 ALL THE WAY! I love you guys!

  • Whoa! That was a production! Really enjoyed that. I think they could've done without the drumline . But it didn't hurt to have it! lol.

  • wow!
