  • I been doing this since 1985. No problemo!

  • Ooh no no no , good lord no! Not behind the neck ah shucks nah ,you don't want to be doing that,, ruddy nora not at all , wtf fuck ,i'm going back to sleep, BUT STOP THAT,,OR YOU'LL HURT YOUR SHOULDER! I THINK?

  • Higher risk, lower benefit excercise compared to front lat pulldown.

  • Isn't that really dangerous for your rotator cuff?

  • i was doing these today in the gym and some skinny little rat came up to me and said you aren't suposed to do them behind your head... i said you can do it behind and in front... and he said no because doing them behind messes up your shoulder joints, i said r right okay and he walked away, can someone clear this up for me, is the rat right?

  • @JustAGeordieLad that skinny rat is right doing them behind your neck will cause some shoulder probelms. why would you wanna do them behind your neck anyways, there is little range of motion when you do them like that its just better to them in front. youll get better results

  • Never do these behind the back unless you want rotator cuff problems. Doing them in the front has the benefits and works the same muscles. If your trying to get big lats then wide is not the way to go, narrow is.

  • isn't that the dude from Big Brother?

  • joe u r the best ... instruction fitness are the best god bless u guys

  • the cell tech is strong in these 2

  • great videos=)

  • I'm going to watch these all again before I go to the gym later today. thanks!

  • Great video easy to follow!!!!

  • I accidently found your videos today . And I'm so happy ! You explain so well all the mistakes that can be done and how to avoid them , im so glad i found your videos ! GREAT JOB GUYS ! THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

  • Ya this is terrible advice. Pulling it behind your neck is really bad for your rotator cuff and overall doesn't give you any better of a workout than simply pulling it into your chest with your back arched.

  • @LoFasZz just dont go down far and squeeze your back

  • @stylezNout Doesn't matter. Still bad for your rotator cuff.

  • LoL at 00:05 I always try to close the advertise

  • joe should do these videos in drag.

also, he looks baked or something, doesn't he?

  • Yeah any lifting is dangerous when performed incorrectly. This lift is particularly prone to injury if you use bad form, have

Pre-existing injury, or attempt to lift too much weight. It is a good exercise if you really know what you are doing and are healthy.

  • People trust whatever someone says if they have muscle and are "big". The truth of the matter is that these "instructional" trainers probably flunked out of biology and have no idea the range of motion and angle that joints and ligaments are supposed to go. It is a universal fact that behind the head pull downs can be very detrimental and cause joint problems. Also there is not much benefit to them. I have been a practicing joint specialist with a medical degree.

  • @lezdewit81 I totally agree with you. I am a personal trainer. But little different than most personal trainers. I've been a professional athlete for many years, and competing at high level. I am a skinny dude, but I've been around and also hold a fitness degree. When i tell people this exercise is wrong, they don't want to hear that. But if someone who is big told them they believe.

  • Problem is most meatheads on steroids have never studied bio-mechanics or physiology so they have no idea that behind the necks are one of the worst exercise imaginable.

  • @MMASNinja i totally agree with you people should really learn the ins and outs of their body mechanics before lifting weights in general ..especially when it comes to lifting form, posture and over working one major muscle groups over the other. (lead to injuries)....

just saying in general.. not that this gentlemen in the video doing the lat pull downs has a bad body, he has a good body just saying ..but defo behind the head is risky imo

  • Proper way to do them is to never do them.

  • fantastic, thank you so much!

  • how joe buys gasoline?

-hi iam Joe Tong i am here with my mustang, we are here at the gasoline station and were here to target some gasoline.

  • @YouKnowWhatYouAre LMAO!!! You are silly!!

  • Getting this right is the most important step, very informative.

  • DONT DO THIS EXCERSICE it messes up your shoulders really badily

  • love this exercise it give me a big back

  • I can hear Ozzy O. - Mama I'm coming home in the background. Great song.

  • i hold my hands in the same spot he does except i keep my shoulders down and my chest out and when i bring it down i bring it to my chest

  • Thanks Joe

  • @mybloodrunscold007 get out of here.

  • the guy talking looks super metro, and his side burns are redic

  • doesn't pulling behind your head mess up your shoulder joint?

  • @thrashmetal1029 if you have good form and not to much weight its alright ive been doing it for along with time no injures

  • @thrashmetal1029 Yea if you keep ur head str8

  • @thrashmetal1029 Yes it does, doin it at the front is better, also dont screws up any joints

  • @thrashmetal1029 it's an unnatural movement, yes.

  • @thrashmetal1029 rear delts a little, but pulling is generally back and this is a rear pulldown

  • @thrashmetal1029 it can if you're dumb about it. slow and controlled is key, and listen to your body. don't pull down further than feels natural.

  • @thrashmetal1029 if not using wide grip and go all the way down :)

  • @thrashmetal1029 when done wrong yes

  • @thrashmetal1029 If you have a weak posterior deltoid.

  • @thrashmetal1029 True!

  • @thrashmetal1029 yes it does, thats why you dont do this

  • @thrashmetal1029 99% of people use too much weight, are not flexible enough, and don't squeeze properly which yes will mess up shoulder joint
