It's such a shame when every part of you supports what the Sea Shepherds are doing then they come out with schoolboy fiction like this. It's so sad it's not even funny. There are well-minded people giving hard-earned money to this cause & this is the best they can come up with? Please, for your own sake, don't hold your audience and supporters in this sort of regard. Otherwise we all get tarred with the "Inept Idiot" brush and only the whalers are left looking like they know what they are doing.

I' used to investigate the bullet-proof vests for 4 years in university!!
Any kind of bullets would break straight away with that thin vest!
and wtf was that hole??? THAT'S A TINY HOLE. The bullet also release a huge kinetic energy as it gets stuck in the vest! The vest be totally BENT and he wouldn't be able to keep wearing!!
Even the bullet was stuck in the vest, he would have SOOOO MUUUCH PAIN!!!

It is a bit hypocritical of these people to go around on a ship called the "Steve Irwin" when Steve Irwin made a lifetime out of exploiting animals for his own ends. He routinely baited, provoked and agitated animals to get good video for his shows. The man dangled his own BABY just a few feet from the jaws of a huge crocodile! Irwin was charged with more animal rights violations than just about anybody. Sea World operates similarly..and Ringling Bros. Circus. The word is exploitation.

Anybody with even average intelligence knows that when shot - even if the bullet is stopped by something like a flak jacket - the IMPACT alone feels like being hit full force with a baseball bat and WILL knock you down. It seems to me that staging a fake attempted murder and framing someone is a very serious crime itself. If his claim was taken seriously, one of those japanese crew members could have been put in prison for many years.

Someone is totally ignorant about guns. Have you ever fired a gun? I think not. I suggest you try getting two ships bobbing up and down vertically in waves that are several feet high combined with horizontal motion of the ships themselves moving at 2 different speeds, and use a handgun to hit a bullseye over the heart with one shot. Annie Oakley couldn't even do that. When a bullet hits a flak jacket it is like being hit with a sledge hammer or baseball bat. He wasn't even aware he was shot!

That impact flattened the slug, which if real would have been a tremendous amount of energy. Nobody of any credibility believes that was a real gunshot. Even his own crew were "puzzled" by it. Lastly, the low frequency sonar blasts by U.S. submarines does far more damage to whales than the whalers do. Two wrongs don't make a right, but Watson might find a better way to protect the whales other than being a terrorist liar. He is destroying the credibility of people who REALLY care.

The Japanese needs to take on the SeaShepherd with the attitude of "an eye for an eye." You Japanese, stop being cowards, don't let these people run you over. When will the Japanese create an anti-SeaShepherd fleet? As the SS approaches a whaling ship, an anti-SS ship could cast an iron net over the SS and drag it towards the whaling ship for a good spanking....hehe. Those SS people are a bunch of retards.
