Messy hair is always better than perfect hair.

  • stop talking and start working ouf she talkes a lot

  • Omg, i did this, it lookedd GREAT, thanks soososo much! <3

  • Seems really tome consuming when I could just get a three barrel waver

  • Or..just buy a triple barrel iron like we do in the salon..or like others said, do it the way they actually did. Gel, finger waves, and pin curls.

  • you know that it causes a lot of damage in ur hair, if u use a working spray before using a hair straightener :/ ?

  • wtf is up with ur make up??? lmfao

  • shudnt do a bold lip with such a dramatic eye.. like the rock on ur finger by the way.

  • it's not working :/ and I dont know why~!

  • you tutorials are amazingly helpful and useful! and dayumm, you are one pretty woman!

  • Skip to 2:20 to see what you came here to see !!!

  • Your hair is so shiny... )':

  • how did they do it in the 20s?

  • @hades1234567 They did finger curls mostly, like a perm, with your fingers, it's really neat (:

  • @hades1234567 in the 20s they used a ton of gel and had to wave it with their fingers and then use pin curls to curl the ends. then they let it dry or got under the hood dryer.

  • @hades1234567 Alot of it had to do with the the hair being wet and using your fingers and a comb to manipulate the hair into a wave. Then to keep it in place so it can dry that way they would use things like waving clips and hair tape. Then once the hair was completely dry they would use a strong gel to keep the wave lasting the rest of the day. Its pretty impressive in my opinion how innovative and creative woman where back then! lol

  • @hades1234567 gel, pincurls, and rollers

  • Your lips *-*

  • WOW. I am a hair stylist in Florida, granted Ive only had my license since September after graduating, and I would have NEVER though of this!! I dreaded finger waves in school..LOL! Thank you soooooo much, that was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ur hair is dirty :S wash it please

  • @OteppGuetta Her hair is not dirty.

  • @OteppGuetta her hair is not dirty, besides this wouldnt work with freshly washed hair just as well

  • Finally a useful tutorial about waves

  • thats a fail u dont need that much stuff i can do it with just straightners and ur makeup is awful

  • hey i was just wondering if you waved the back of your hair to?

  • hey.. love the video. how would i then put my hair back to create the bob-like style from the 20s?

  • AWESOME. I get so annoyed with finger waves and this is a great idea. Thank you lovely lady!

  • those lips......

  • you look like lady gaga

  • Hey, I'm going to a Christmas party tonight with my husband and this tutorial was so perfect! You're striaght forward, to the point, and you have such a cool, calm, friendly presence. I'm definitely looking to you for hair and makeup advice in the future! Thanks, girl.

  • This really helped me! What I did is that I only waved the bottom half of my hair and left my bangs straight and it worked out great! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Tried it and it looks amazing! Thanks so much for posting this

  • @TheMunchfan You do have a very good point! I did try before getting the triple barrel, however it wouldn't curl my hair- I think its too think or too long... :)

  • You are beautiful..!

  • very ummm....creative makeup

  • can i have your hair?

  • or you could just get a triple barrel iron to do it for you :)

  • @MsJessiejamez yeah but she's doing the straight iron for those who don't have that.... i want to buy one though.....

  • Beautiful look

  • if you would have brushed your hair after you finished you would have gotten one big wave like it would have looked more like the retro wave bc its not many wavy pieces its all the hair flowing at once so i highly recommend brushing it=)

  • @samslayerr i don't think that's what she was going for, but it does look nice too

  • I Loved it! i have curly hair and i usually only wear it curly or straighten it or a ponytail but this adds a whole NEW style for my hair and to wear to school! THANKS LOL ( oh and i have the straightener you used and you right it worked perfect.THANK YOU!

  • Looks rubbish.

  • Awesome thx soo much!!-3

  • I make some in my hair but with less hair and omg they look really cute. Thx :)

  • omg love this! and you're very professional with the instructions in a way, thanks so much!

  • you look like a drac XD lol

  • thank you this really helped!

  • haha I like your funny and snarky comments ("i'm not here to sell you a flat iron"). I also don't love this look on you - I watched your video on what's in your pro bag and I was awed by your skin color and complexion. this makes you look too gothy. But the post is still appreciated!

  • thank you loveed it

  • wow u make it so simple!

  • Love your videos ! And whit this make up, you kinda look like Aaliyah in "we need a resolution" video

  • Its not even a lot of makeup. Its very 20's and I think it is super cute.

  • @RetroZombieee I agree! Don't know what some of these posters are going on about it being way too much.

  • This is a really good tutorial. Thank you :D

  • attention everyone: the video starts at 2:27. you're welcome for saving you all that time. :)

  • Holy cr*p, you're AWESOME!!! :D Im so happy i found this video, thanks alot for your help !!! :D

  • oH NO. You should never, ever use hairspray in your hair when u r using hot tools.

  • @Joksu14 why

  • i love your lips :3

  • Thank you!! I needed this tutorial...I kept giving myself kinks in my strands, however it is just like you said...it's all about the technique! I suppose I just need a little more practice, in any case, thank you for making the video...it does help a lot! :-D

  • OMG TY!!!! i needed to find a like 20s flapper hair do to go with my halloween costume and something that would work with my insane hair ty!!! and btw i lovee your hair :)

  • Sorry, but her lips are too big, it is horror.

  • Her hair is so shiny!!! O.O

  • You have really good cheeckbones!

  • It looks really good, I'm going to try this!

  • Greeeeeaaat thanks for that been looking for such a demo... Oh and ignore the haters... Can believe some ppl's comments!!

  • YESSSSSS, this is what I've been looking for!! Now, I finally know how to achieve this look, thank you sooooooo muchh!!!!!!!

  • You're pretty but at first I thought you were a transgender...

  • Your

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE!! :)

  • This actually worked on me, I tried it out today for school, i really like it, but the problem is my hair even when i showered and shampooed my hair VERY good, my hair has a burnt smell. I really like this hair style but I don't want to destroy my hair. I kept the iron moving, but the waves didn't come out, so i hold my straighten in one spot for like 3/4 seconds, I hope that doesn't damage my hair cause I love my hair LOL

  • Hi love the style will attempt it this weekend was looking for the make up tutorial that goes with this hair which one is it plz thanks!!!!

  • No offense but that's too much makeup

  • @000katyperry Did you hear the beginning when I mentioned it was an artistic/ period makeup from the previous tutorial? Clearly, it is way too much for everyday, or night. It's an interpretation of a look...

  • @TmakeupG Makeup is another way of expressing yourself its like a canvas it's art! You dont wear each look for an everyday look but you could pull this off at night time! Some people cant really pull it off, some can either do a strong eye or strong lip but just remember everyone likes different things! It may a little much in you eyes but perfect in someone elses :)

  • @000katyperry

what difference is it if someone wants to wear a ton of makeup? who are you to judge them? would you like it if someone was rude and judgmental about something you chose to do as a form of self expression? everyone has a right to their own opinion but we should also respect one another as well and not try to make others feel bad about their personal choices.

  • @000katyperry ..i agree.. she's probably much prettier w/out all that makeup, right now she looks like a witch, no offence, i freaked out for a minute! ew

  • you have really dramatic lips :O

  • wow LOOK AT THAT MAKEUP !! o.O

  • I never thought to wave my hair with an electric flat iron/straightener, this is awesome. I hate I bought a curling wand and an electric waver to get waves. Thanks for posting your vid!

  • WOAH!! you scared me with ur makeup calm down. . . . .learn

  • Your hair is ludicrously shiny :O

This style looks great. I'll be sure to give it a try.

  • im only just finiding you today! but you are beautiful and your videos are great :) x defo subbed x

  • Your hair is beautiful! It's super, super shiny!

  • makeup tip: don't go so harsh...lighten up on the makeup

  • Como yo no piense en eso. So gonna try it girl :)

  • that is fucking awesome!

  • Stop flipping us off Jk 2:13

  • you over-do your makeup.

  • thanks, this video really helped me ! :)

  • you are great but this makeup makes you very ugly...:(

  • Comment removed

  • how do you get your hair so shiny?!!!

    :)

  • Excellent video - thanks for posting!

  • Great job!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much , this has really helped me a lot with my college course, we have to do a 1920's hair style next week.

  • You are so COOL. If I had to describe you in one word.

  • your hair is so shiny love it thx great tippp

  • sorry but i feel like if the straightner stays in one position its frying my hair really bad?

  • @piinkice01 Keep the iron moving along the hair the whole time, if you notice the hair is slowly gliding through the plates at all times. Hope that helps.

  • @TmakeupG that looks really shitty no offense....

  • I have a 1 1/4 inch straightner is that ok?

  • Thnx very much!!! I pretty much use this hairstyle when im in a rush and i want to have a complex look. And i also like it cause it looks like if i took hours on it :)

  • very nice :)) im luving this look

  • CHI! It's bright terquoise. :)

  • WOW, AMAZING, NICE JOB

  • Thank you very much. I liked how you compared it to riding a motercycle.

  • This is interesting, however - you picked one of the longest ways to do this. Purchase a 3 barrel from Ulta and do your entire hair with alot better outcome than this in 10 mins.

  • @hettycutie97 I think she used her hand to blot her lipstick

  • THANK GOD I FOUND THIS VIDEO!!! you've literally saved my life! lol

    thank youuuuu!!! x

  • Wow your hair is so nice! :) Jealous 0.o

  • omg u have the most beautiful hair i have ever seen x

  • too much makeup DUH

  • tranny? or....

  • you look alot like andreas choice in this vid!

  • Aw man, if only I had a cute short hair cut to do this! It would take me 45 minutes to do this on my long hair :/

  • This is wonderful, but does it work better if your hair is straightened beforehand? Like, does it give you better control or easier waves?

    xo Ruby

  • @IDontShine423 It depends on how curly your hair is naturally. But yes, it does work better that way; you will be creating a fresh wave pattern, and have more control if you are work on smooth hair. I would say a fresh blow dry vs (flat iron) straightening it first.

  • Thank you sooo so so much!!!!! I have shorter layered hair and I have tried EVERYTHING for successful finger waves (I always go for 20's-50's hairstyles), but unfortunately I have never succeeded with them. I absolutely love this quick idea, and the little product required since I have very fine hair. I tried it, and it works great! :D

  • Beautiful :) At first I thought I would hate this look but you changed my mind.

  • @AdairSchuler Thanks for sticking around and watching!

  • What's that red spot on your arm ?

  • I noticed that you a fairly midium-thick hair. would it be different for someone with finer hair?

  • Thank you! I worked so well and turned out awesome!

  • thank you dear i really needed a tutorial about this curls!!!!!!!!!!!And you did it great!

  • Thank you so much! I've been looking for a doable fingerwave look for my very long hair for a while now, and this works a treat. If you go back and forth on the diagonal, it makes them super deep and beautiful :)

  • @Amouthfulofsin220 great tip! So glad you liked it!

  • you look like a drag queen.
