  • why would they not release something like this!?!?! its not on voyager 1 is it?

  • Sonuds a touch like Catching the Butterfly.

  • I agree with Rahxephonliveon. It does sound like an early Mover. But they're both good!

  • This one's called Staring Stranger I believe!

  • early version of mover!!

  • My god, i love verve, they are absolutely phenomenal. They make me smile and feel really good about life, which is why i'll be listening to their music to the day i die, and on the other side forever. hopefully not until i'm old and grey though. :D

Richard's heavenly voice makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up :). He's gorgeous *DROOL*.

  • Too good to not have a name. Can't wait for new album.

  • cooooool!!!

  • This song apparantly re-vamped for the new album.

  • really how did u hear that???

  • I heard the verve are reforming. Anyone know anything about it. got goose bumps listening

  • Yeah, the verve are back together it seems!! They planning to work on some new stuff after summer and they've already sold out shows for this winter!!! Just go to their official website or their myspace to see for yourself!!

  • this is amazing- i didnt know there was a stage at camden town hall? I never heard of a gig there and lived in camden for 12 years- well thnxs for putting this up- verve in their prime indeed.

  • The band in their prime! Thanks so much for posting this video,shoegaze76.

  • anytime!

  • mad richard, incredible..McCabe is just owning on the guitar, what a fantastic video

  • word up

  • Since this is 1992, I believe, this is just an early version of Star Sail.

  • Close call. Many of The Verve songs evolved over time. " You fill up my Host..." This became "The Mover". The Verve acoustic sessions is a must have. PM me for a CD. Also, I love "Luckywoman" for all of ES's postings !! Will you marry me ????

  • I saw "Verve" in SF @ Slim's during the Storm In Heaven tour. Unfucking real- WOW. Ashcroft oozed onto the stage like a spectre with a bottle of vodka and a little juice and he probably weighed 95lbs and looked spooky as heel. But when he opened his mouth to sing it was amazing and the band was ON FIRE. Unforgettable.

  • also saw them on the 'storm in heaven' tour (somewhere around Toronto) amazing!

  • Oh yes, and in Glastonbury 1993 too! Yep, I'm a Verve fan. How did you guess?

  • I was at this very concert! I remember it as there were only a few dozen people there and Verve were on stage for only about 45mins or so.

I went to several Verve concerts in 1992/93, including Brixton Academy, London Astoria, New Cross Venue and Camden Town Hall. Verve were definitely at their best in their 'Storm in Heaven' days. Saw them again in Earls Court just before the release of 'Urban Hymns' - still great, but much less raw than their early stuff.

Thanks for this - great band.

  • Concert was apparently on the 23rd of October that year. Very cool to see this -- it's almost like it should've been the second half of "Star Sail".

  • anybody know any good verve boot sites?

  • Where can you get that track?

  • voyager one LP

  • do you know where these tracks can be bought/found on mp3 i know the vinyl is supposed to be rare and tha

  • theres a few good bootleg sites with them to download, such as the camden gig or even voyager 1, good places are forums with links to blogspots etc.

  • Yeah good song! Shame they never released it or put it on any album!

  • FYI this song is called Staring Stranger
