Originally his father because in the beta comics, she was a lesbian with another mutant woman and the writer's plan was to make her change into a man, using her morphing abilities to impregnate her gf. This was all changed, making her straight, prob because it was too much for readers. She had a husband and eventually, Azazul seduces Mystique, and impregnates her with Nightcrawler.
