It's said in several interviews that have come out over the yrs that Prince has vaults filled w/music he's written & recorded yet haven't been released b/c WB was fearful of "flooding the market," which has always pissed me off. If Prince wanted it released, they should have allowed it. He doesn't do anything half-ass. In fact, there was a time when he'd dock the band $1000 each time they missed a note or screwed up n concert. That's dedication to the nth degree! I always hope they'll b released
this sounds like the "purple Rain movie when bobby z, matt fink and brown mark were rehersaling when prince told the guys where's lisa and wendy and he got pissed off.
This is definitely Prince from back around 1999. However, I've never heard this before. SWEET! Finally a new (and high quality) unreleased Prince song. Thanks DMarc! :)
Actually this sounds like some the Dr Fink/Prince Roger Nelson demo jams used to the ''Dirty Mind' sessions of 1980 after the '1999' sessions from 1979...seems to edit from the sessions that Prince mixxed into a long party megamix for the LP. The vocal snippet at the beginning is Prince's trademark vocal, the synthesizer is most definely Dr Fink, and bass is very similar to the bass on 'Uptown'.
I love you Prince your music has so inspired me been listening and a fan for 28 years since 1999 album in 1982.I remember hearing delirious at age 8 wow all these years and I still love all of it!But most of all i hope i can hear more of the unreleased stuff it's like a rare jewel.Love,Jen

@timtrek isn't all music pretty much pastiche or borrowed from past works ergo influences.
Do Me, Baby = Frantic Moment by Eddie Hazel
Purple Rain = Ventura Highway by America (line lifted from 2nd verse)

I think its a pastiche. That synth bass acid sound is too modern and sounds like a soft synth and the hook is so weak its almost non existent

I love it, but this is not a Prince jam...something about the bass playing the recording quality...

This sounds more like The Time playing more than Prince playing under the Jamie Starr moniker for The Time...
not sure about this one to be honest with U.. would not surprise me if it was fake.
