I have been begging my wife for an SLR. She said after the issues with our last few cameras the next one we buy will be an SLR. Probably a Nikon or a Sony.
@1BiGdAvE63 Just read the manual man and you should get the hang of it pretty good. And check up some tips and tutorials just by searching here on YouTube. If I had a camera similar to that one id offer you some advice but with the SLRs I have used I don't remember all that much. Plus the last none point and shoot camera I used was a Canon AE-1 SLR Film camera, now THAT was hard getting used to, at least you will have an autofocus to help you take great shots! I learned I suck with manual focus.
