Taufik has the capability to write beautiful songs like this and Usah Lepaskan, but somehow i prefer Hady's rendition of Berserah. I fell in love with the song instantly when he sang it.

while taufik's "berserah" concentrated too much on the pain instead of the tranquility when in the trust of GOD. taufik is technically good while hady has a certain calmness and very soothing in his delivery

I don't think Taufik's version concentrated too much on the pain. To me it is hearfelt and sincere and since it is about submitting to God, there is humility too in his voice.

part 1 : as a fan of both idols, this is my observation - betw "holding on" & "berserah". i like "holding on". betw taufik & hady's ver of "berserah", i like hady's. the lyrics suggest that 1 should feel at peace & serene in the heart & mind when one surrenders to the power of GOD. i feel that when i listen to hady's version and "holding on".

x to create a controversy, just that i think each have their own unique qualities that would probably have given them both equal chances to win asian idol.
