The reason why there are walls up and why houses get raided is because there are too many terrorists among the palestinians. Isreal however has stated openly it cannot survive with its current borders. It is expanding through settlements in the West Bank. Isreal however has stated openly it cannot survive with its current borders. It is expanding through settlements in the West Bank. If peace is reached, Isreal has to leave the occupied territories and freeze its borders. Why would they want that when they have grown 10 fold since inception?

@1982mockingbird1982 We are both from former British Colonies(I`m from Belize) and we killed natives to take over their land ( Israel did not, the U.N created it), neither Australians nor Belizeans have a moral criteria to judge Israel for occupying territories in self-defense ( ever heard of Palestinians Fedayeen infiltration into Israel to killed Israelis between 1948-1967 and was 1 of the reason for taking over the territories) to prevent devastating attacks such those done in 1948-1973.

@1982mockingbird1982 Also other occupations, such the Chinese occupation of Tibet, have been longer and less justified, and Israel return the Sinai to Egypt and for the most part since 1995 the Palestinian occupation has ended, Israelis forces only return to some areas to prevent terrorist and it has offered to have a Palestinian state in 2001 in exchange for best efforts of the Palestinian authorities to end terrorists and to live side by side, they rejected it because they do want peace.

This nonsense that the Palestinians have asked the U.N in 2011again ( see 1947 partition), to give the Arabs a chance to have a Palestinian state is an absurd ludicrous lie, is just a tactic-a first step-the Arabs have used in the past-present toward the elimination of the Jewish state. Between 1880-1967, virtually no Arab or Palestinian spokesperson called for a Palestinian state. Instead they wanted to merged into Syria or Jordan...Also terrorist was used prior the Israeli occupation in 1967.

@fianchetto4 I think everyone has the right to live in a democracy with basic rights, and I also feel that we as humans have a right to liberate those who want these rights but are denied them by theocratic regimes. But how am I to know that this is what Israel is doing if I cant hear what the Palestinians have to say. + will they make Palestine a Jewish state to because I wouldnt consider that to be a true democracy. Im still glad that Jews have a state to call their own

@pattoloco1985 U should no that the reason Im so distrustful of governements is because I belong to an ethnic group known as the Sri Lankan Tamils. For 30 years our own governement had unleashed a genocide against us (comparable to what the Nazi's did). @1982mockingbird1982 I went through something similar in Central-america during the heat of the cold war 1980-1990, but I do not blame any foreign power( US nor Russia/Cuba) for it. I blame my leaders from both the extreme right ( with death squads and military repression against civilians ) and the extreme left for it too, because used terrorists as a weapon exposing innocent civilians to pay the price after they cowardly leave the area, JUST LIKE PALESTINIAN TERRORIST DO( using human shields)

In todays world I feel a number of governments are complicit in atrocities commited accross the world and are also responsible for the UN's ineffectiveness in preventing and prosecuting these crimes. And are you implying all Palestinians are responsible for Jewish genocides they had no control over, and therefore their houses can be destroyed simply because they belong to the same ethnic group. I dont trust Israel because denying a voice to one side is a common tactic used to cover up war crimes and Israel has helped other regimes commit genocide in this way. 4 all I no they could be doing the same thing to Palestine

@1982mockingbird1982 Also how can you excuse TERRORISM?, this tactic was used even before Israel occupied the Palestinian territories of the West bank(Judea and Samaria) and the Gaza strip in 1967. The Palestinian territories were used to harrashed Israel and killed their civilians often the elderly, woman and children before 1967 by sneaking accross the Israelie border and then running back, this is an old practice, that`s why Israel took a buffer zone to stop that and protect their cityzens.
