  • @MrMenace58 You know what? I've been to all the "nice" places. Been to NYC -- and yes, it was quite nice, but really just a lot more of the same. Been to Vegas... and was surprisingly *bored* off my ass. Been to Massachusetts where they supposedly know how to party... supposedly. Been through Texas, Missouri, Florida, and just all over the place.

All I can say is this: if Owensboro is "trashy" then most of the rest of this nation of ours is pure sludge.

  • @bigpileofcrock Owensboro not trashy? Hahahahahahha, That's rich. Owensboro is a shithole. 50,000 people and nothing to do except go to that sad excuse of a downtown or the mall. That's funny. One bypass around the town. The reason is that there is nothing to see there.

  • @MrMenace58 Yes, you should make a video of Owensboro and all of the ran down houses and crappy looking streets. Its a real hoot of a place to go or live. Bumpkins galore.

  • I love Kentucky i have lived here my whole life and i think that the people that do not appreciate it need to slow down and have a good look at what is around them because it is BEAUTIFUL i am proud to be a bluegrass baby and its gonna stay that way I love me bluegrass state(: slow down people and have a really good look at this state and keep it beautiful

  • Great video all around. Kentucky has a lot to be proud of. I love the bluegrass music & lyrics used in the video. Nice scenes from Owensboro, KY.

It doesn't matter where you go in Kentucky, everyone is the same. You can walk up and talk to anyone and they will just talk right on back. Now go up north and you talk to someone, they look at you like you're insane :P I love how family like everyone in Kentucky is. Theres no better place in this world =]

  • I agree the people are friendly, great music, and that girl is cute!

Go Rand Paul in Kentucky!!! RandPaul(dot)com

  • Dont Let These Jokers Fool You... Ive Lived In Ky All My Life.... Fuck This Place....So Boring....Cant Wait Til Im 18 To Get The Fuck Out Of This Fucking Hillbilly State

  • You're a queer. Obviously you're not 18 yet, thus you have no right to comment on a state you haven't even lived a quarter of a life in. You're some 14 or 15 year old pothead city boy that thinks your gonna go have a party it up life in that hell whole they call California. You're lifes gonna be a pathetic one and you'll realize how much you love this place some day.

  • Yes I Am 15 Years Old. No Im Not A Pothead. This Place Is Full Of Fucking Hillbillys. And Actually Im Not Going To Cali. Im Going To Georgia. Back To Where All My Friends Are. Everyone In Kentucky Is Two Faced Faggots That Wont Say Shit To Your Face. So Call Me A Queer All You Want Because Hating Kentucky Does Not Make Me Like Guys. If My Lifes Gunna Be Pathetic Thats Why I Got A Scholarship To Georgia Tech Right? So Unless You Kno What Your Talking About I Would Shut The Fuck Up If I Were You.

  • Ok first of all, you're not from here so you woundn't understand and you really have no right to talk about it that way. I wouldn't move to Georgia and talk about how pathetic it is. That's cause I wouldn't move! Nobody's two faced, you probably just got in a fight at school and now you're bitter at the whole world because you lost or something. And I would really like to know when 15 year olds getting scholarships became legal..? If you're so smart, why don't you know enough grammar to not CAP

  • dude kentucky is the shit! you just dont have n-e freinds lol,and kentucky is not full of pussys or faggots lol its the totaly diffrent then what your saying and whocares if their is abunch of rednecks

there the coolest ppl.and i gaurentee everyone i kno will say somthing 2 your face lol.u dont belong in kentucky ur making us look bad.

  • Your the two faced faggot! I'm from Ky. and I'll say it to your faggot face!

  • Yep, Kentucky IS a "hillbilly place" and the Creation Museum IS here, and we are proud of both of those facts! If you had any sense, you would be envious, rather than ridiculing. But obviously you're lacking in that department. Randy and Emily, Good job! God bless Kentucky and ALL of DIXIE!

  • Kentucky?

Isnt that the hill-billy place with the Creationist Museum and the place where they got the idea for the filmed Deliverance?

Derrrrr hick! Pass the piggy its my turn for a ride.

  • Its ignorant people like you that are hate mongers.. Hate is a disease and you only propogate it by spewing your ignorance all over the internet.... Kentucky has alot to do with the pride and success of america.. But you're too ignorant to know that...

  • Atheism by definition is not a religion. Therefor quite obviously my command of English is superior to yours.

I have no need to prove anything. It is the religious idiots who claim to know the answers to everything. However, they cannot support their god hypothesis with a single shred of evidence.

Lastly, I've known David for most of my life, he never said anything like that! Ho ho ho

  • Jesus still loves you anyway.

  • Actually, I really don't care whether you believe in God or not. That's between you and eternity. Fact is: Kentucky is certainly one of the most beautiful places in America. The people are friendly and caring. The landscape is varied and fun to explore. We have rolling meadows and mountain streams, horse farms and hayfields. Elk, deer, black bears, wild turkey, great fishing, a world class medical facility in Louisville that leads the way in heart research. And two great basketball teams. UK&UL

  • Did I say Kentucky was an ugly place?

Did I say people from Kentucky were not very friendly?

Did I claim that the forests and streams have been over exploited?

Kentucky is known internationally for three things. Fried chicken; a horse race and now this stupid creationist museum. People all over the world are belly laughing at you and its not because of fried chicken and race horses. Come on people, wake up!

  • Kentucky is known for far more than that, look in the history books.Someone who believes that we are known for chicken, or racing a fuckin' horse must not be from there!

  • OK, this has become silly. My original point was that Kentucky has become the laughing stock of the intellectual scientific world. It is now known as the home of the creationist museum. Im not from Kentucky but I do know about that stupid so-called museum.

Good reputations are hard to build but easy to destroy. Knock, knock! Proud people of Kentucky. Do you get it yet?

  • If that was your original point than you can kiss my ass because I said so that's why! Let me tell you something the best kept secrets is in Ky. We are probably the most intellectual and scientific of all the states,so go fuck yourself what do you know!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In what arena is it known as the home of the creationist museum? I have been to several scientific conferences, and have never had anyone refer to Kentucky in that way.

  • Nice try, joined 23 Oct.

  • Nice try for what? I am simply asking you to provide evidence to back up your claim. Surely anyone with such a vast knowledge of the scientific and intellectual communities would have no issue with such a request. Evidence is a critical part of science, after all. So I repeat my question. In what arena is Kentucky known as the home of the creationist museum?

  • Try looking in the Tuesday, July 08, 2008 edition of the New Scientist for starters. Article title "A trip to the Creation Museum." Piss take letters are ecerywhere. Go look for yourself!. Accademic chat lists have been laughing about it for ages.

It's in Nature too but that copy is at work.

  • I'm not a "nutjob creationist" trying to trip up anything. Most religions are based on faith, not evidence. Science, however, has no room for faith, and requires evidence to support its theories and laws. Any scientific hypothesis, in order to be valid, must be both testable and falsifiable. For Judeo-Christian belief systems, God or Yahweh or Jehovah (pick your choice) is neither. Therein lies a major difference.

  • In the United States, we have freedom of religion. This is to protect those who choose to worship whichever deity they see fit, along with allowing those who choose not to worship any such deity. The creation museum was built by private citizens, not the Commonwealth. It is in support of a particular group's belief system, and doesn't define the scientific inquiry of the entire state. There have been several notable figures in science who came from Kentucky, and there are likely to be more.

  • When serious publications such as New Scientist start poking fun, something is not right. I take it you accept that Kentucky has become the butt of jokes in the scientific community. I wonder what your views are about deliberately teaching kids that creationism is true and thereby undermining their evidence based critical thinking.

  • Your assumptions are yet again faulty. Like I said, if you haven't anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut. You chose to view the video, did you not? Did someone hold a gun to your head and force you to watch it? I have met quite a few people in the scientific community, and wasn't ridiculed for being from Kentucky. So for those who think we're so pathetic, they can just move along. I'm proud to be from Kentucky, and of all the places I've visited, I'd rather be here.

  • So, no change. Kentucky is still the home of the crack-pot creationist museum and still a laughing stock because of it. Do you have anything to say about teaching creationism to kids?

If not then you had better just move along and play pass the piggy with the rest of them.

  • Considering that I'm a woman, I'd find it rather difficult to violate a woman. Freedom of religion allows creationists to teach whatever they believe. Deliverance was based in Georgia, on the Ocoee River, if memory serves. Nothing that you have said has given me any indication of your intellectual prowess, and if the worst thing that can be said about Kentucky is that it is home to the creation museum, then so be it. Let those who are as ignorant as you keep saying that.

  • Violating a woman, who said anything about that?

I did ask for your opinion about teaching creationism to kids.

  • It was a typo on my part, pig was the intended word. As I said, FREEDOM of RELIGION. It is what protects your right to be atheist, just as it protects their right to be Christian. No one is forced to worship some government-mandated deity. If that is what their religion says, then they have a right to teach it. It is a museum, where people go of their own free will, not an indoctrination camp where children are held prisoner. Odds are, the people who visit the museum already believe that way.

  • This is getting old. I don't agree with you and you don't agree with me. I have not insulted you in any way, even though you have referred to all Kentuckians as hillbilly pig fuckers. Like I said, if the worst thing that can be said about Kentucky is that there is a creation museum here, then it's not that bad. I'd rather be here than in some crime infested rathole of "civilization", afraid to look over my shoulder. There have been and continue to be important scientific contributions made here.

  • 23 May 2007 by Lawrence Krauss

    Magazine issue 2605

AN INTERESTING cultural experiment is taking place in Petersburg, Kentucky. It will shed light on the following question: how much money and glitz does it take to institutionalise a lie about science?

  • P.S. You may want to learn how to spell if you are going to criticize the intellectual capabilities of a state's population, and find a better argument for why we are all so dumb besides telling us we are a bunch of hillbilly pig fuckers. If you feel so strongly about how inferior Kentucky is, then my suggestion to you is stay out, and find some manners. Your mother should have told you that if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything.

  • Very funny. I have already achieved my aim of highlighting the damaging effect the creationist museum has had on the reputation of your state. Until I started using the term hillbilly pig fucker very few people responded to my posts. That simple change in tactics enabled me to achieve my aims. For your information: criticise is an English word and there is no Z.

  • Perhaps there is no z in criticise in English used outside the US, but academic only has one c wherever it is found. You have achieved nothing other than making yourself look like an ass. I would still rather be from Kentucky than anywhere else, and if you all all your cronies write blogs about how backward we are, then that is just your ignorance showing and we are glad you won't be coming here.

  • Just give me a kiss and be done with it. I know you want to ;-)

  • Whatever helps you sleep at night.

  • FLUSEM666,

Remember me? Im the one you blocked because I had more sense than you. The Creation Museum does a good job of pulling in tourists from all over the globe. Too bad you cant do anything about that since you sit around on youtube all day wondering why your lonely. The people on here listening to a music video could care less what you think of them. You do not represent the scientific world. Your a bored dumbshit with nothing else to do but try to stir up something.

  • Like I said. Laughing stock!

doodlebug10100 Are you one of the creationist nut jobs trying to trip me up?

    lol

  • @FLUSEM666 Actually we're most well known for bourbon, basketball, and pretty women. Just check with Arthur C. Clarke in 2010: The Second Odyssey. (And yes, that was with tongue firmly planted in cheek... and yes, I am fully aware of just how old your comment is.)

  • @bigpileofcrock Cant argue with the bourbon and women claim, love 'em both. However, the state would be better off without that crazy creationist joke. Ho ho ho people living with dinosaurs. When I read about that I almost pissed myself laughing. I'm now told that they say some god or other - there are many to choose from- created coal to look like fossil plants simply to test our faith. Seriously, I’m not taking the piss, that’s what they claim.

  • @FLUSEM666 Remember, there are loud/novel people in every society, and we're not immune to it. Yes we have the bloody thing... of which the vast majority of Kentuckians are unaware, and of those few who do know, it's a rare one that cares anything about it. The Commonwealth doesn't endorse the thing; it was just easier (legally) to build it here than in some places... and besides, all the people from out of state coming to see it are just fueling our economy.
