  • This just brought back my childhood! The themesong used to be stuck in my head in primary school! So good.

That kid must have spent a fortune on all those eggs. Where'd he get the money? :P

  • OMG! As soon as I saw this ad a light when on in my head. Memories from when you were 4 are like little bits and pieces. You never remember the whole thing but parts of it get stuck in your head, waiting for something to trigger them again...

  • this ad was in australia aswell.

  • DONT GET CAUGHT!

  • The filling is a lot pastier now than it was back then. The eggs are smaller now too.

  • yeah man they are crap now they need to go back to the old style damn they use to be sssoooooo good.

GOD THOSE EGGS ARE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT MAYBE NOT AS MUCH AS I REMEMBER THEM BEING!!!!!!!!!!

BUT SOME OF THE COMMENTS ARE DOWN RIGHT SICK! GROW UP YOU DIRTY THINKING PEOPLE!

  • At school, one of my classmates uncle acted as the headmaster in this advert!

  • and she simply cant resist... and the drums come in...

  • faahhh memorys!

  • Why don't they make ads like this anymore? Ads used to be enjoyable to watch. They were creative, artistic and brought a smile to your face. Now, they're just annoying.

  • @Shtevisacorpse

I LOVE THE ad, BUT MAYBE BECAUSE IT'S JUST WHITE KIDS IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL SETTING????????

  • back when creme eggs tasted awesome, now they just tast like liquid icing sugar :{

  • Does anyone remember/know if these ads ran in the U.S.? I don't remember this one.

  • @Adom nah dude this is a classic Australian ad, I remember it from when I was a kid

  • @tryandlisten So much cooler than a clucking rabbit.

  • @Adom a clucking rabbit?

  • @tryandlisten Ya, our Cadbury commercials are an "Easter Bunny" clucking like a chicken.

  • @Adom lol

  • massage and lick it, rub it a little and kiss it , don't be shy just slide your fingers in gently and feel the wetness. cadburys cream egg how do u eat yours?

  • there so cute and the girl is real cute.

  • that kid has about 30 bucks worth of cadbury creme eggs in his hat

  • I wish somebody would tell the names of the girl and boy in this classic Easter advertisement . I wonder what they look like now , and what they upto these days.

  • Why did they change them?! They used to be so great, now they just plain suck :(

  • I love hearing that music again. Special childhood memories come flooding back.

  • who sings the theme? one hell of a voice

  • God I loved this ad as a kid!

Is the theme sung by Split Enz? It sounds so much like them....

  • I remember this girl was on a T.V ad for Europa petrol station.

  • Huh? I've seen this ad before but it must've been between 1995 and 1998, and I'm from America!

  • I remember this ad when daughter was little,,,shes now 28,,,,thats how old it is....but it still reminds me of NZ wever all been in Australia for 18 years coming up now

  • Cadbury should really include a loaded syringe with insulin with each egg sold! Those things are way too sweet. I can't even eat half of one.

  • Love creme eggs, lush!

  • 0:24- 10 points off Gryffindor!

  • Why is the teacher so upset about the two kids eating eggs when there are clearly other students asleep or daydreaming? Haha.

  • because teachers are morons.

  • @DonaldTaft Because he wants some egg on his face

  • Does anybody know the names of these two kids? i always wanted to know .

What are they doing now? where was this filmed?

  • @musique1975 - This was filmed at St Patricks College in Silverstream, Upper Hutt

  • @musique1975 Chloe Groser is the girl

  • does anybody know the names of these two kids? what are they upto now? i always wanted to know who they are.

    Where was this advertisement filmed?

  • LOL i remember this add when i was a kid

  • lol this add is a spin out

  • yea they taste like crap now, tastes like flour .. so nasty !!

yea they are sending everything offshore to be produced now ..

  • awesome

  • RIP Creme eggs :(

  • kinda creepy..

  • i hate creame eggs. the sickness in side... SUCK

  • Note in the ad we are told about the flowing creamy yolk centre. Well the british version yolk is orange for a start and its just kind of thick and gross. I dont like them anymore and they were my favourite chocolate!!! bad call cadbury, you're blowing out all over the show.

  • Who does the song?

  • dont get caught with cream on your face...

  • I've seen this guy. This boy is now around 30 and deals Crystal Meth and heroin. He became this girl's pimp but she sadly OD'd several years ago. He gets other girls hooked by giving out free samples. Here's hoping he gets caught.

  • is it just me or are creme eggs getting smaller and smaller?

  • @YouNube123 it seemed like that to me too

I was thinking ..WOW those things are HUGE

  • This ad was made in New Zealand. I don't believe the eggs were made smaller in the Australia/New Zealand market, however the US version definitely has reduced in size.

The Australian/New Zealand eggs are now being made in the UK, not New Zealand, and apparently taste different - yet to try one for myself, and I'm not really inclined to given that Cadbury has stopped manufacturing many products locally, and abandoned many of our favourites.

  • @nzads Finally tried one of the new UK eggs. Nowhere near as good as the old eggs manufactured in Dunedin, New Zealand. At least the UK chocolate does not make me feel sick like the Austraian stuff does. The only thing I have left of the once-great New Zealand Cadbury chocolates is a bag of 12 treat size Moro bars... once they're gone, I don't see myself eating any more Cadbury products. It's not about the country of origin, it's about the taste.

  • @nzads Hey, try Whittikers??? I know what you're talking about, and Whittikers is made in NZ and tastes like it too. Im sure you wont be disapointed ;]

  • Saw a segment on TV a few years ago, a 'where are they now?' thing and they talked to that girl. She was 20 something and she said she was recognized by a bouncer as she was going into a nightclub.

  • DONT

    GET

    CAUGHT

  • I bet that girl weighs 25 stone now! lol

  • @SteveEdwardsUK

    is it isla fisher?

  • @MyDjsantos

    Doubt it. She's Australian.

  • LOL the little girl is so cuteee :)

  • i cant believe cadbury factories are shutting down :(

  • Proof = ?

  • @TheLingaling

I heard they were being bought out by someone in america.

    Kinda sucks!

  • i didnt know these existing in 1992 lol

  • they showed this ad on cambell live lastnight & i completely forgot about this ad til they showed it lastnight thanx 4 the blast from the past

  • love this ad! such a shame they went and ruined creme eggs though...wish they were still made in dunedin :*(

  • i had one today and my god i can't believe how small they are nowadays - was like a bantam egg

  • cadbury ads have come a long way

  • OMG .. I remember this ad from when I was a kid. LoL.

  • It makes me want to eat a cadbury cream egg!!!

  • i remember this from the early 90's - it was a golden era!!

  • Um. She is sitting at my old desk in Room 5 at St Patricks college SIlverstream. What a hoot!

  • yum.. this girl must be 20 something by now

  • More like 30-something. The ad is over 25 years old.

  • but it says 1992 .. which means 17 years ago... cuz i was born at that time :)

I wonder what that girl looks like now

  • It is the version of the ad shown in 1992, which differs from the original because it is missing the final scene, which is replaced by the "Double Chocolate" screen instead.

The girl was on one of those "What are they doing now?" shows a few years ago. She wasn't my cup of tea, but you may think otherwise.

  • LOL.... wow you really know alot about cadbury..

  • I dont remember this ad at all in the 80s mate...and I watched ALOT of tv...I do remember it in 92 though

  • Plus it seems unreal that an advert would be around for 8 years! ...No...I was 18 in 92 and I remember thats the 1st time I saw it

  • The ad was only ever shown for a few weeks each year, leading up to Easter. As a former Creme Egg eater (I say former, because they will no longer be made in NZ, and that's the only Cadbury chocolate I like), this ad was something I looked forward to every year.

The yellow and black text book was used in primary schools in the 80's. I believe we still have a copy here somewhere.

  • Thats fair enough...Im in aus...so I guess thye showed it n 1992 and that was that,,,,Interesting though! That the kids in the ad by the time it got to us in 92 wouldve been well our age!lol

  • @nzads That yellow and black book was a spelling book had I think 7 different levels of spelling words. I can remember them too from the 1980s and have an idea those books could date further back to the 1960s. The ones we had at school in the 80s were quite worn and I remember my last year at primary school in 1990 our teaching wanting to replace them with something more modern.

  • nice, pleeeease keep Cadburys in Britain

    ...please

  • This exact version was used in Australia too.

  • it's ok

  • Who did the music? it reaks of tim finn.

  • Yeah I remember the teaching eating one and the principal taps him on the shoulder.

    Classic ad tbh.

  • I wonder where that little girl is now and what shes doing?

    Maybe a model?

  • Omg I pissed myself laughing when i watched this, I dont remember it being so funny. Awesome.

  • this just made my day happy...

  • oh my god, I remember that AD!, it was great

  • This was filmed in my old history class. Not that, I'm sure, anyone's interested.

  • call it morbid curisoity, but I was curios as to which school this was filmed in! :D

  • Saint Patrick's College Silverstream.

  • Legend - cheers mate!

  • how long was this ad arround 4? cause i remember this and i was only 2 in 1992 lol

  • The ad was shown from 1984 until the early '90s.

  • a nostalgic ad..one of the best jingles ever.

  • Clever add for the time...remember it well.

  • How do you eat yours?....

  • I loved this add lol

  • LEGEND! I wonder which school this was filmed in? There's still a few around like it - truth be told some cases it's not by choice either!

  • double chocolate...that lasted long lol :P

  • omg i remember this!

  • i love this ad

  • This is perfection in an ad.

  • i wonder if they have an extended version of this showing the kids being "punished"

  • OMG I SOO Miss these eggs and NZ! I can never find one in Asia :'( I wanna cry!

  • bugger of you aussies

  • don't get court with cream on your face XD

  • Gosh it's shocking isn't it? You couldn't do that now without being laughed off the air.

  • I was in this commercial as an extra - we got paid $80 for the day. It was filmed at St Patricks College, Silverstream.

All I remeber was that we had to write in some old school books, and they used shitloads of dry ice!

  • Dry ice? What for?

Anyway, do you think you could hook me up with the girl? She must be of marrying age by now, and you can tell by the way she holds that chocolate on her face that she must have really bloomed.

  • Double Chocolate?! Why don't we have this?

  • They have changed so much! They make me feel sick now :(

  • this was on for a few after 1992 as well.

  • It appears that was the case in Australia. New Zealand switched to the dumb "How do you do it?" or star signs ads... I can't recall which was first. Bring back this classic!

  • It was, because I remember this ad and I only moved to NZ in 1993 November.

  • the girls name is chloe she went to muratai primary in Eastbourne.

  • yeh this was a classic here in Australia as well!! and i just had one! hahahahaha

  • I remember this ad well lol

    2 things i always wondered

    - that boy has a shitload of eggs in his hat, i was always jealous he had so many.

    - when the girl lifts up her desk lid to cover the exchange theres still a gap inbetween. the boy seems to place the hat near or at the gap, not being very conspicuous

  • Another Kiwi Classic !

  • I Love Creme Eggs!

  • Does anybody know who sang the jingle?

  • I went school with that girl!

  • I was at the same school as her as well. I was a year or two older than her. I remember she thought she was a big hot shot because of the ad.. funny.

  • Do you still know her? Is she married yet? Can I meet her?

  • I remember this ad! The song is so catchy haha

  • heeee! I remember this add! This was shown in Australia too. I'm pretty sure it was mid 90's when it was on T.V.

    Awesome.

  • Don't get caught!

  • anyone remember that tv ad with the two guys dressed as mice? (worth a crack nige... nige?!) was it burger rings?

  • @Shaggynz It was Cheezels.

  • i know a guy hu used to work in the factory, and now he can't even smell them without making him feel sick, i feel quite sorry for him really...

  • Yuuuuum!

Just had one the other day....

I hope they never stop making themmmmm

  • My biggest concern right now is where they are made. Presently the big Creme Eggs are made in New Zealand, and the mini eggs in Australia. Cadbury recently decided to make changes to production in Dunedin. Unfortunately for me, I cannot eat Australian Cadbury chocolate. There is something about the taste which makes it inedible for me.

Cadbury did get rid of Snifters and Tangy Fruits though. Not much left that I would buy from them now.

  • @nzads Say it ain't so! Tangy Fruits were a staple of my moviegoing childhood. =(

  • @nzads Say it ain't so! Tangy Fruits were a staple of my moviegoing childhood. =(

  • Whooaaa lol oh my gosh u aint seen this since i was in primary far wat a classic ad.

  • omg, they had yellow stuff in the middle? wait... they stil do.. dont they? god i havent had one in ages!

  • oooh i remember this ad! That little girl is adorable! I always wanted a cap filled with creme eggs in my school desk...

  • I had 2 2day anyway

  • woooo easter's here and I had a dark chocolate and peppermint one last night and it was alright, but nothing compares to the original!

  • double chocolate... ooh that mustve been nice :):(

i'm prob the only person ere hu wernt around wen this was made

    No offence !

  • they still make the double choc lol.

  • The original ending has been removed in this ad. The last scene had the teacher alone in the classroom about to bite into a cream egg he confiscated. Before he is able to the headmaster (the guy waring the graduation cap) taps his shoulder. The ad ends there.

  • Why would you react like that Vengaboys?

New Zealand is a beautiful place..don't mock it please. I think it is the most beautiful country on the whole planet not to mention probably one of tbe most safest too

  • he 's got u there dude

  • If only it were that easy to get a chick to eat my chocolate balls

  • I went to school with the cream egg girl. thats my lame to fame.

  • love creme eggs and the still have double chocolate ....

  • bet that kids fat now =/

  • oh this is the old aussie advert.that double choc was/is the best,do they still sell the double choc come easter?

  • This ad was filmed in Wellington, New Zealand. It was also shown in Australia however.

Don't know if they still sell Double Chocolate, I was only ever interested in the original.

  • OMG. I have been looking for this ad on youtube for years. I remember this ad back when I was in pre school in 1989. Very old ad. There is a bit missing in this ad though. Ad the end of the ad you see the teacher confiscate the cholocate eggs then he goes out of the classroom and eats one but the principle taps him on the shoulder. While the principle taps him it you hear a guy whispering don't get caught. I have a good memory.

  • haha, is it just me, or is there some sick sexual message behind that!?

  • No, it's not just you, see earlier comments.

  • Nah, other people watching it all agreed.

  • its just you

  • i remember this ad! i must have been three or so when i saw it! hey nzads can you find the "i'm a utter peanut butter nutter from sanitarium" ad?? i would love to see that again!! please message me if you do find it. Or do you have the jonah lomu big mac ad with the buildings trying to attack him lol. chur

  • does anybody know who directed this ad by anychance?

  • This ad takes me back...

  • whooaaaa major flashback !

  • The old writing text books!!
