  • @MRaverz Tax as in Taxes ..............

  • @MRaverz I wonder if you could offer any alternative take on what the fuck he is doing all day to steal all that tax !! Oh by the way has anyone seen Vince "saving private britain" Cable or has he emigrated with his big fat pension. lets not forget how he was going to destroy tory donor murdock until cameroon slapped his arse ................

  • @MRaverz Thanks but no thanks. You are perfectly entitled to your own views, of course. However, if you are honestly interested in being a better advert for the Lib Dems, I suggest you learn some manners and lose the condescension. The pomposity and vanity you display here is in poor taste.

  • @MRaverz Do you seriously think that your kind of head in the sand, patronising attitude is going to woo me back to the Lib Dems? And stop trying to use the argument that this is Tory led coalition as if that somehow excuses the Lib Dems. The Tories need the Lib Dems more than the Lib Dems need the Tories and frankly most people can only see the Lib Dems acquiescing in a Thatcherite agenda. They hold the balance of power and are doing nothing to protect vulnerable people.

  • @MRaverz How is it an improvement on the current system? Pray tell? The right policy for now? We will get out of recession by using the skills and talents of people, not by denying intelligent and talented people from lower income families a place in higher education by pricing them out. And, if it is such an improvement on the current system, then why did Clegg and the Lib Dems so vehemently campaign against ANY (repeat ANY) tuition fees only 11 months ago?

  • @MRaverz What's Tory about him? Well tripling university tuition fees will exclude many students from poorer or modest backgrounds from going to university. Clegg campaigned against tuition fees more than anyone else but when he gets his ministerial limo and his place at the Cabinet table he not only drops his opposition to tuition fees, he votes to triple them, Pious, self-righteous hypocrite that he is. You poor deluded naive kid, you believe everything you read in Focus!

  • @MRaverz Read the comment from npe1. That's what I'm talking about. You may be in denial, but countless others are not. And spouting such pompous nonsense as '...that shows me how ignorant you are of politics' is pathetic and nothing more than a petty jibe in retaliation for someone having a different view. Face it, thousands of Lib-Dem voters feel betrayed, including me. Actions speak louder than words. You're not convincing anyone.

  • @MRaverz The Lib Dems have spent the past 2 decades pretending to be 'the real alternative', but as we see, now that they are in government they are just just reactionary and right wing. Clegg is a Tory - nothing more, nothing less. He has taken a once progressive party in a totally new and reactionary direction. If you brought back Paddy Ashdown I might consider voting for you again.

  • @MRaverz What Lib Dem policies would they be? Tuition fees? Scrapping EMA? VAT increase? Letting the bankers off? How ironic for a cabinet that contains Lib Dems that the most liberal cabinet minister is probably Ken Clarke!

  • Shameful Lib Dems. Where have your principles gone?

  • Go spout to the tory faithful you fuckin greedy little piece of human excrement & please fuck off back to where you came from & stop stealing our hard earned taxes you fuckin parasitic piece of shit !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who are the "climate change scientists"??

  • You wouldn't buy a used car from SLICK NICK.

    Why vote for him!

  • stepheng1483, I agree with your comments.

  • Davidplim, You shut up!

  • cant wait to have you at number 10!

  • @bornfromashes2008 to destroy the UK!!!

  • Nick Clegg states that he has No religion!!! but his wife and children are being brought up Catholic!!!!! another tony blair in the making.... to reck the United Kingdom

  • @sinnfeinmurderers

your right..... his kids do not even have ENGLISH names they have spanish names !!!!!

He is no man of the house never mind being a man of the government...

  • A vote for the lib dems is a vote to have our country invaded with non whites until we are out numbered in our own country.

  • @stepheng1483 oh shut the fuck up! nobody gives a fuck about racist little shits like you!

  • @DavidPlim Speak for yourself, LOTS of people care about having our country invaded with limitless amounts of non whites. Unless we do something we will be out numbered in our OWN country.

Shut the fuck up yourself you anti white racist, your kind want stabbed.

A VOTE FOR LIB DEM IS A VOTE TO BE OUT NUMBERED IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. No other race would put up with it in their own country, neither should we.

  • @stepheng1483

What is so wrong with 'non whites'??

The colour of our skin does not dictate what kind of person we are.

  • @missdisorientated Then you would have nothing to say if we deported all non whites from white countries, and invaded their countries with limitless amounts of whites, until they were out numbered in their own countries. When the blacks complained we could say "what's wrong with whites", like you say, after all skin colour is irrelevant.

Would you be ok with this scenario? If not but you are happy for it to happen to whites, then you are a racist, an anti white racist.

  • @stepheng1483

Skin colour is irrelevant to who we deport.

    British doesn't = white.

I am not racist, I believe in love, peace and acceptance not hate or discrimination based on skin colour.

Plus I am white, so how on earth can I be anti-white??

  • @missdisorientated Skin colour is VITAL to who we deport otherwise we will be out numbered in our own country and then have our race wiped out through race mixing.

    British = White.

I believe in not having my country invaded with limitless numbers of non whites and in stopping my race being taken advantage of and wiped out in our own country.

If you would not be ok with the scenario I stated then you would clearly be an anti white racist, you would have double standards based on skin colour.

  • @stepheng1483 WELL SAID

  • It is time for us to clean up parliament; The LibDems wanted to do this 5 weeks ago. However, the Tory/Labour pack stopped them doing it; this was one of the main facts, which made me change my vote from a life Tory voter to vote for Mr Clegg. The LibDems are the only party who will clean our house 100%. We need a clean house before we start doing anything my friends.

  • the more i listen the more i think nick clegg is retarded

  • Gordon Brown dancing with Nick Clegg and David Cameron

    youtube. com/watch?v=IDAfAZY_02s

  • Climate change is not a problem. It's a naturally occuring thenomenon. Get used to it, Cleggy.

  • I wish Nick the best of luck in the most important debate to come of which I feel will determine libdems claims as a legit choice of party. If I may humbly ask that despite the Consevatives and Labour atempts to ridicule the libdems policies without fully explaining their own with detail that we don't get caught by the trap to feel obliged to do the same.

  • I'd say authoritarianism is a bigger problem, but the environment is important too. You've got my vote.

  • why are there so few views on these video's?!

  • anyone who votes conservative needs throwing out the country

  • Climate change - is not man made.

  • you've still got my vote wish i could do more to help

  • you've got my vote ( or you would...but i'm not old enough to vote yet)

  • I shall be voting LibDems 2010!

  • Vote for REAL change, vote for Liberal Democrats!

  • Gets my vote...so sick of labour/tory bullshit..good luck Nick!!

  • @aks73 You would be better voting BNP nick is a real dick he wants UK to go into the euro curency he hasnt got a clue about being English his family are a mixed breed, his kids have spanish names,

some British man this is...... He would kill the UK stone dead (fact)

  • @superbelfast1

    "mixed breed"

    Humans don't come in breeds.

    We are not dogs.

  • @missdisorientated As you are a Dog lover you would know all about mixed breeds wouldnt you,,,,,

  • You are really gaining hearts and minds.A party which really wants to make true a new industrial revolution

  • Change we can believe in is an international movement. Nick Clegg, the next Prime Minister of The United Kingdom of Great Britian & occupied Ireland will help America bring a new age of peace & prosperity to Planet Earth. Americans, Britons & Irishmen will work together to protect the Earth's ecosystem and develop alternative energy solutions that do not burn fossil fuels or contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

  • @robbyscotthill "occupied Ireland"? You might want to try going to Larne & saying that.

  • Regardless of the conservative hype the hung parliament. if the number of Liberal Democrat supporters that are our there VOTE, and on voting numbers we win, then i believe we have the Right to call for Electoral Reform Immediatley, and in the best interests of the country as a whole, place in power, a Liberal Democrat Government with Dr Cable managing the budget, and the team setting to work on the issues that matter.

  • I'm a member of the party and have supported them since I could legally vote. However, this position on climate change is the one point that worries me. I realise that anything else would jeopardise the party's chances so I am not unsympathetic but my view is that Lord Monckton is right on this. If we don't act soon to stop the hype on global warming, (not just re-brand it as "climate change"), people will continue to starve, riot, and die.

  • @readermichael Lord Monckton is right on this issue of co2 i have been a green for years believeing what the UN reports said, but you have to remember that all 3 main parties are working for the bankers, what we really need is more co-operatives and earthships because yes we need to stop harming the planet but also we need to forget about the co2 shit

  • Nick Clegg for PM...

but please PLEASE don't get in bed with Conservatives if a hung parliament is in order.

  • @esthergirl123 I think there was a speech where he said the kingmakers of the UK were the voters not the Lib Dems. But yea he'd better not go conservative or labour >:(

  • @esthergirl123 he sold us out..Nice one Clegg

  • @esthergirl123 Ha ha!

  • It would be very cool see a Lib Dem Government on its own. I think it's more than possible now. Very cool and interesting time for our country.

  • I was going to vote LibDem, but this talk of a coalition with the Nasty party has troubled me deeply.

Once again left-leaning voters are cast aside in favour of winning the center-right vote, so much for being "progressive"

It was fun while it lasted, but I suppose that the bubble had to burst.

    What a massive disappointment,.

I feel like such a mug for falling for it.

You've definitely lost my vote with that betrayal.

  • If enough people vote lib dems they'll get in, its only if they almost get in but don't get quite enough votes that would mean that they have to make a coalition. Your not voting for them makes that more likely to happen! It's simple enough, they get enough votes we have a lib dem government not a coalition, don't get quite enough we get a coalition or they don't get in at all.

  • @dadeskr

That's a fair point, but, on a purely personal level, their eagerness to engage with the Tories is enough to put me off.

I would count a Tory/LibDem coalition as "the Tories getting in".

I can't vote for anything that would put the nasty party in government again, not after last time.

It is with a very genuine sense of regret that I have to say that I can't vote LibDem if that what they propose.

  • OK

tbh the thought of either tories or labour getting power makes me cringe, I'm sick to death of labour but the tories might well be even worse. I really don't want to find out.

  • @asubjectiveopinion

Thats a reasonable position to take, however, I don't think that that is what they propose. Clegg might be willing to join a Conservative government but unless he wants to quit the party and become a Tory then he can't take the LibDems into coalition with the Conservatives unless the party's membership and other MPs agree. And that is something which most of them will never do...

  • @revolt1848

That's not the impression that Clegg has been giving in interviews today.

It's not so much the fact that he's sidling up to the tories, more that he has shown a willingness to play the political game by dumping the left at the first whiff of pulling in some center-right votes.

It just seems too reminiscent of the great "new labour" betrayal of the left and it makes me very apprehensive.

I wish I could afford to emigrate to New Zealand.

  • @asubjectiveopinion If you have chosen to vote Lib Dems over there policies (which have not changed) and now you say you believe the Conserative Hype then i believe (in the nicest possible way) that you have indeed been taken for a Mug. Not by the Lib Dems but by the Pro Conservative Media. I personally do not mind if you change your mind (as long as you vote) ;)

  • @kardel100

Calling me names isn't going to win me back.

  • @asubjectiveopinion he has a point you are a mug if you vote conservative. Think about who owns sky news, the sun, the mail. All of them lying and skewing headlines and claiming the tories are on the steps of downing street. Would you really want this brainwashing party in power? wake up. You're like a rat following David "Pied Piper" Cameron, his puppetmaster Lord Ashcroft and his loyal follower Rupert Murdoch.

  • @iluvelsa2004

Sorry, but where does this idea of me voting Tory come from?

In my post I refer to them as the nasty party, which should give you a clue about my feelings towards them.

You clearly didn't bother to read my post.

Why do you think that your generation is so abusive?

  • @asubjectiveopinion Had i called you names perhaps your statement would be true but alas much like Mr Cameron you have not got your facts straight. I say again vote for who ever you like just make sure you vote.

  • @kardel100

What is wrong with you people.

Will you stop accusing me of being some sort of idiot who has fallen for tory propaganda.

I was referring to remarks that Nick Clegg made today in the Guardian.

Just because I have changed my mind doesn't make me a moron or a tory.

I have to say that reponse from LibDems on this comment thread has done much more to inform my decision than Cleggs actually comments today.

What a self-righteous bunch you are.

    Not welcoming at all.

  • @asubjectiveopinion anyone that takes the time to read my comments will see that i make no such accusation at all toward you. Yet you have felt free to label me. That is your right. And for the final time i say i DONT CARE WHOM YOU CHOOSE TO VOTE FOR AS LONG AS YOU VOTE ;) lol take care buddy and don't have a baby over it.lol

  • @kardel100

"alas much like Mr Cameron you have not got your facts straight"

    What's that then, bird shit?

  • @asubjectiveopinion no again i am afraid you are wrong, it is a Comparative, one could even go as far as to say it's "a" "subjective" "opinion" Now How Ironic is that!!

L.O.L. i do hope you are pretending to misunderstand as i believe it to be a really sad situation if it turns out you do not understand the meaning of the name you have chosen.

  • I can't vote because I live in Tokyo, but I'm a student starting my Uni studies next year. I'm concerned for the United Kingdom that I care so much so I HOPE you'll win, Mr. Clegg.

  • Well done nick, good luck with everything...il be voteing for you.

  • You also have to answer to the climate change deniers who may be your own constituents.

  • @Jeneral28 - I agree that there needs to be some sort of response to those of us who have looked at the evidence ourselves and have views in line with those scientists who do not support the hype surrounding climate change. However, please could we be more reserved with the use of rhetoric such as "climate change deniers"? It is a term manufactured to be reminiscent of "holocaust deniers" and to call our morality into question. I am ashamed to see the LibDem website employing this phrase.

  • @Jeneral28 - It is the sign of a weak argument when we have to resort to besmirching our opponents because it shows that we have nothing with which to counter their actual arguments. The LibDems should be above this.

  • @readermichael

yea your right, it sounds babyish and it makes yourself look bad and only make the other parties look better

  • Nick for PM
