gigantic go-carts with body's basically. you can hear the motors clicking like go-carts. this is something anyone could do. looks like fun, but on an aluminum track, you cant have much traction
The track is built like crap. It has a giant hump in the turn transitions. It throws all the cars out of shape and leads to a wreck every turn. These kids need to learn to drive in a parking lot or something. They are intentionally hacking the other drivers. Looks kinda dangerous to me! The last thing I'd want is a 14 year old teenager going hormonal on me lol.
@brown55061 I've spoken to the founder/CEO and the hump was kept in the design to emulate the Bristol and true experience of a short track; to prevent 'anyone' from being able to hop in a car, put the pedal down, and go around the track. Drivers are forced to gas, break, draft, pick their line during the race, and of course set-up their cars to start. This is highlights so you see lots of wrecks- 260 laps per night in 5 different races. There is also $50k in prizes/money paid out per season.
It's just too expensive to get into the sport, but maybe that's what they want. I ran a full scale dirt car for 2 seasons cheaper than it would cost to compete for one season in arena cars. I'd rather watch good racing but like you said, they are marketing more to the crowd that likes the wrecks.

Try $10k for a new one, plus $15 grand in running costs per year, then the maybe $5000 for buying a used trailer and you're set back a good $30,000 for your first year.
That first wreck is shameful, were the spotters asleep? Wreck happens and the guys in T3 in the back of the pack just kept going full throttle like nothing happened. Clayton good job winning the B Main, proud of you Spindle!
This is great. Never seen anything like it before. I used to race around in Go-Karts in a small town in the middle of the night. This looks more legal. Where's Dale Earnhart? Cool Stuff here!!
looks like little toy cars racing (0_0)

Looks like fun but in the end, appears to be more about the crashing than the racing.
But then again, would be a great to have up here so I could get some kind of live racing fix during the winter!
