Even though in the real story Maximus never found out who the murderers were, the writers and producers should have added a scene to the storyline where Maximus slains the murderers in a storming rampage. Then Commodos badly wounds Maximus in a ambush and puts him prison. Tortures him and then fight

Maximus could of went after them if he didn't die. Too bad Maximus died b4 he could kill those cold hearted soldiers. How could u cruxify an innocent child and let them suffer to burn? Shit, that's disturbing! Even worse, its a true story too! And some events that occured in the movie were true too.
