  • i currently have this psu with an overclocked amd 955BE at 3.8gz and an overclocked 5770 at 970/1375mhz on the attached pci-e cable and it runs fine. i have everything setup on the attached cables so didnt even need to use the modular cables.

  • can this run gtx560ti sli?

  • Can this handle a single 6970?

  • Hey man what it's the main diferance between truepower and signiture? and can you do a review like antec trupower vs antec signiture with the same power saying 650W.

  • In your video, the PSU fan is facing down. Is the fan intake or exhaust? My case is Antec 300, and there is no ventilation hole at the bottom, so even if I put this PSU fan facing down, if it is exhausting air, it will still exhausting at the bottom plate and the warm air goes up, back into the PSU?

  • I just bought one of these and it exploded the first time I powered it up. Not very impressed as I've always had cheap PSUs in the past and when I finally spend money on a decent one it blows up in my face, literally.

  • hi,i would like to have your opinion about this: im can't decide on what psu to purchase my options are the Antec TP550 and a HEC Cougar cm700 im currently using a: athlon II x4 oc 3.4 all stock but plannin to get around 3.7-3.8 planning to get 2 5770's or 2 5850's in the long run,so a cf config 4gb ram 3 120mm fans v6 gt and 2 hdd's.. i want reliable with a reliable power psu that could serve me well for a couple of years, for a cf set..thanks a lot.great videos always
  • UR NOOB ROFL , get a real multimeter child, soft voltage 5,8v and 13v IDIOT haha what a noob

  • What i dont understand is that you said that i should connect the graphics card to the modular cables? cant i connect and use only the cables already attached.

    I have an 5850 card.

  • How many amps does a 5850 need per rail? This Antec power supply says that two of its 12v rails have 25 amps each. If I connect the 2 power cables from the 5850 into the 12v rails with the 25 amps, will everything run smoothly and I won't have to change any of the settings? (As you may tell, I am a total newb when it comes to building a computer)

  • sorry, but your reviews on PSU are terrible. first of, that software is completely wrong, the +12v rail is not on 13v on a reliable psu like this, guys, if you want to see a real review go to:

    jonnyguru(DOT)com/modules(DOT)php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=140

P.S your supposed to use a multimeter!

  • hey will this power supply be enough for a single ati 5870?

  • @bowarrful yes.

  • i have the antec Neo ECO 620c, what the different?

  • any one know where to get extra cables ? i cant find any where

  • will the 650W one be able to support 2 5850's in crossfire?

  • @GunSotsOverMe 650w is more than enuff for the 5850 crossfire :)

  • how many amps should i have per rail for 5770 crossfire?(:

  • @nikosyv You can get by with 20Ams on each rail with a HD5770

  • @PCWizKid Awesome, the EPS 750w psu i'm considering if i should buy has 20 amps :O

Though i hear a loooot of people recommending single rail psu's.. Corsair's TX/HX in particular.. What's that all about? Are there no good And cheap psu's?

  • @nikosyv one 12v or four doesnt make much diference, dont worry about that.

  • helo.. not that knowledgeable in psu.. why is it, it is much better to have a dedicated single +12 volt rail if planning to go multiple GPUs, than having four +12 volt rail.. please help any one..

  • @jomac21 Doesn't really matter, as long as you get a quality, brand name PSU such as Seasonic, Corsair, Antec etc.

  • thnx for replying bro.. but, are acbel's psu any good?

  • how about tri sli GTX 480's with intels 6core? ill prob get 750W in april

  • the intel 6 core will not be house for over 9months ¬¬

just get the AMD x6 it will be out in less than 2 months (:

  • @ElfenLiedd I dont think that will be enough power mabey a 1000 watt would do better on a load like that

  • I love how clean his pc looks inside

I am trying to do the same with mine, but the cords are small so I can place the down

  • Ok, so I have a 500W PSU. Whats should make me buy THIS? =S

  • good features but still kind of expensive at 130$

  • i got trueblu

  • Anybody...Can you help me???

I have 40-60 dollars to spend on a graphics card and i need omething better than the Nvidia Geforce 7100 GS

    can anyone help????

  • go to tigerdirect(DOT)com they have some very cheap pci video cards STANDARD pci not PCI-E

  • @UltimateXtremeGamer yea save lol frys ad check it out

  • @UltimateXtremeGamer Save up a little and buy a GTS 250 instead. A kickass graphics card, that's not that expensive.

  • @ShrEadHunterN (

    or HD4850 :)

  • Two 4770's? 650W 80+ bronze PSU will run two HD 5850 with ease!

  • I use OCCT to test the PSU.

  • what program is that called the one thats full loading the system

  • prime95 is good

  • prime 95

  • im planning on building a computer. in order what parts should i buy?

  • Go to his site and look at tips of building it.

  • @fallen9057 i guess start with the motherboard and found out which socket it has and pick out a cpu for it, or vice versa. then found out what kind of ram the motherboard needs, you can usually find what memory is compatible on the motherboards manufacturer website sometimes called QVL or Qualified Vendors List. if you're not getting a video card then make sure that the motherboard has integrated graphics or you wont be able to hook a monitor up.

  • you should have used a voltmeter instead of software x(

  • good!

  • Would a 750W or an 800W be enough for a single GTX 285 Core i5 with 2 HDD's ?

  • 750w. I'm running a GTX Core 260 core 216 with 8 Antec Tri-Cool Fans (Hi speed), 3HDD and 1 SSD. And its a 600W.

    It should work.

  • @

    NetGenReviews

    for GTX285 600w enough

  • that would be fine

  • Oh mate. Thanks a lot for the insight. You got me motivated to build a pc again.I could use some help from you.

  • thats neat

  • ALWAYS GOOD ADVICE :) GOOD VIDEO

  • Hello Linus,

    awesome video, like always.

    Take care and many greetings.

    FuenfamTag

  • @FuenfamTag He's not Linus hahaha

  • Do you think I7 OC'ed 4GHz (not stock cooler) with GTX260 SLI x2 and 3 DDR3 OC'ed Rams would be enough with 750W?

  • @xTReeTooNx Id go with 850 watt to be safe =)

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • i have a question, (i am new to all this psu stuff) but, does AMD motherboards and Intel motherboards both work with the same PSU, or do the PSUs differ because of the AMD and Intel Motherboards?

    Many Thanks,

  • @LimpTechSupport .You can use the psu's for both kind of boards.

  • No they work exactly the same but do look around before you buy one, because when got I mine which is the PSU that's been reviewed in this video and even though I'm happy with it, there are a lot of PSU's around and you might want to be sure it's the one for you but the factor of compatibility for you motherboard won't be a problem.

  • Thank you very much =)

  • To give you an Idea , ask an electrician or a outside " Hydro Poleman" , they will tell you that the number they look at is the amps . I've touched 50,000 volt Tesla Coil at a science show , no amps ,it made our hair stand up , the Electric chair(Barbaric) on the other hand uses the voltage is usually 2,000 to 2,200 volts at seven to twelve amps, That tells you the Importance of AMPS...

  • I like this guys reviews but I disagree on Running a Quadcore with 2 ati 5770's in crossfire ,They are Rated for 400 watts at stock speeds , If you overclock your cards and cpu , You are Running that PSU at it's limit too often (Gaming) Best to get something more powerful...

  • I have a 400W generic PSU, apparently its good enough for my system, since its running for nearly 2 years and it hasnt had any hiccups at all

  • @nelizmastr The best card you can run on that is an ati 5670.... I've seen one run overclocked on s 310 watt , the 5670 sips power...

  • I have Corsair 400w psu and im running HD5850 without any problems..

  • @cssful Well , I guess you don't have anything overclocked , the 5850 takes about 280 watts under load at stock and about 315 watts when overclocked ,Doesn't leave you much juice for other things ....You are Running that PSU hard... I hope bad things don't happen , you have a great 300$ card , I would put a Brand new 60$ 650 watt PSU with it...

  • hey can u tell me plz what is the software in the vid that u monitor the PSU?

  • @huy405 Cpuid ,it's free ... Problem is I've yet come across a program that measures the Amps on the Rails ,those are more important than the Watts... The Reviewer should have mentioned that , I've had a 500 watt 42 amp PSU , it handles my overclocked cpu and overclocked 4890 with no problem ( I didn't think it would , I under clocked the video card by 15% to start with ) I now have it Overclocked again , No Problems !....

  • @mrjamesb56 ,... I had the same system with a 600 watt 18Amps on 2 rails each(36 total) and the Video card would choke overclocked and the PSU would get warm , It started getting really warm and that's when I changed it out for the 500W ,42 Amp one ,...The Next PSU I get , I'm going with a Single Amps Raul (lots) Again , that's my opinion...

  • I hear that Antec PSU's have their capacitors blow out within a year (Or around a year), Is this true?

  • Antec have a calculator as well it seems, if you want to make sure that you get the correct power.

    w w w . antec . outervision . com

  • does anybody know where can i read/watch a review of the lcpower metatron / ozeanos 650W power supply....i cant find anything about it .. is it better than this?

  • How come on the 12V the reading was 13. something?

  • What do you use to record your screen so smoothly?

  • Camtasia

  • the floppy cable is for memory card readers too?

  • Better to have a single rail.

  • awesome!
