The great thing I love about this show is how despite the fact that it looks like a cliche, TNA, action story (which is true in someways) it's actually very emotional and very well written and still despite some of that clicheness it comes acorss as fresh somehow while watching and it's quite enjoyable. @seetheboyonthestreet If you do some studying of the ancient empire of rome you'll find that this serie is actually based on a "true" story (a legend atleast), and that there's is plenty of room for a couple of seasons of spartacus blood and sand, since according to the story this is mearly the beginning, and how great is that!? :D

they tried to copy 300 effects but their version is so crappy, blood and all were just attached by chromakey effect, not realistic enough and then added too many sex scene to divert the viewers eyes, also an into states it intense graphics is to portray real events, which is contrary to historical account... in over all there is some substance in the story but it had to be cleared half of the screen play came from the directors imagination, are not real.

Great dramatic show, love the script, just a wonderful blend of sets, costume, action, story, script. This episode was particularly gripping. The ghost-like Varro was believable in Spartacus's visions. Have been reading 'The Iliad' recently I think the script writers pulled some ideas in prose from it.
