Hi. Do you have any thoughts on the Gaggia Classic vs Gaggia Baby Class? I was all set on the Baby, but have just seen the Classic available for approx $150 less here in the UK. Aesthetics aside, are there any differences between the two? Thanks Chris
Not really; minor functional stuff but it's mostly the casing preference and we have seen the Baby Class have issues with their buttons in the US, but that might be fixed in the versions available in the UK...not sure. - Kat
how is the Starbucks Proteo Grande? I think it's a rebranded Gaggia. It's REALLY old, but I'm wondering if it's almost as good as the more modern ones and if it's worth it buying it used for $30
I'm not personally familiar with the machine, but I think it's a Gaggia Coffee era machine. I don't think it's worth buying, put the money to something else. - Kat
We can do it at our repair center if you'd like; we do tune-ups on semi-autos for $85. If you're in the Seattle area, just bring the machine in at your convenience; if you're not, you can call us at 866.372.4734 and we'll setup a repair number for you to ship the machine in. - Kat

Thanks Kat. Even with the price difference, Mrs F really doesn't like the styling of the Classic, so it looks like we're going for the Baby!

I would chose a Classic, the latest Gaggia machines feel cheap.
