Lou: some simple chords, sloppy timing and sloppy musicianship, out of tune voice, way-too-expensive guitar rig, "who cares? i'm Lou Reed" attitude, great lyrics: a genius. Elvis: great musicianship, great composer, great voice, cheapo guitar, first class performer, "I really care, you paid a ticket for this" attitude, could turn even LouieLouie into a masterpiece: a genius. Nice couple!
I am no expert,.This is one of he best videos I hane ever seen. Very inspiring.Full of sou.l. In my humble opinion, I believe this sums up music quite well.
i agree with lou being great in the past, but he cant sing anymore (3;45 to 3:50). costello's amazing, the shows great, just cant stand lou reed anymore
@thestoneofvolcom - yeps. how sad, too and I agree with you. He can always write great songs and play the guitar, but the performance is slightly marred by his inability to control his voice ):
Set My Mind Reeling! Stunning rendition of an awesome song! Lou, like a good wine, really does age with time. To apreciate time, you hafta age with it. Well, I for one, is cruisin Lou's time line and it's good for the heart!
THANKS. ¡TWO GENNIOUS!
