if you work really hard, you can learn them pretty quickly. I successfully recited the first 50 in only an hour of looking at the numbers. however, you need to keep reviewing the digits u know so you wont forget. i still remembered 188 digits from 3 years ago. ive learned a few more since then
Haha that's awesome. Puts Blur from the transformers to shame with his fast speaking. I'm gonna take your word for it that the numbers mentioned are correct. I know only up to 3.14 :-)
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang boy u got too much free time in ure hands.........i wish i culd do tat.......... daaaaaaaang again well gud job.... tat made me feel stupid thanx lol
If this guy wasn't Indian, I would think he was reading a card behind the camera, but since he's Indian, I believe him (I'm stereotyping him, but I don't really care)
Awesome? Hardly... ANYONE could sit down and learn MORE digits to Pi then this guy has... actors and musicians have adept memories that are actually useful, not just for some pointless task... so uhm, as for the challenge, there are more useful ways to spend your day...
I'd also find it impressive if you could insert your sarcasm into your rectum without causing internal bleeding from the irony...
Arun is my friend since high school and i can tell you that was from memory. He works at microsoft now and the xanga address at the end of this is really his blog.
Hoo!! That's nothing! I know 900 decimal places of pi and guess what? I AM 11 YEARS OLD!!!

The fact that he's Indian makes it hilarious, it really shouldn't be hard finding a Chinese guy doing the same thing.

Who gives a shit... we have computers to remember that shit for us...
I'd like to see him apply that usefully under any context without using the shortcut of a computer... what a waste of memory
Syzygy 4 years ago
The guy did it because it's awesome and a challenge, of course a computer can remember more digits, that wasn't the point I'm sure.
Try putting your own impressive powers of observation to some better use.

Sorry to upset you, it just made me angry to see the poor guy being moaned at for no reason. Who are you to tell him to be useful?
It isn't a waste of memory anyway (indeed as you say, this memorisation lark is trivially easy).
Phenomenological 4 years ago
I'm not upset... I don't see where you got that impression from... just voicing an opinion...
And I wasn't moaning...that would require a slum of wit and lack of enthusiasm...
Maybe you don't get satire... *shrug*... your loss...
And who are you to tell me to not tell him to be useful... *shakes head*...
Syzygy 4 years ago
Satire eh?

Computers are the best thing ever created... but it's still cool to memorize... less space on the HD
