Actually you can detect Cilla's voice -- folks she was signing it live and in living color!

Whilst there was a backing tape on during the finale, Cilla was singing live, not miming. She had been working with a vocal coach prior to the show so why would she go to the trouble of hiring a vocal coach and not sing. In fact, Cilla sang extremely well and it was a brilliant show all round
