  • it's northern accent right?

  • @HONGLINH128 Nope, it's southern accent

  • why's she so cute :(

  • Cám ơn rất nhiều

trả lời không có chi ... ̣ <<< welcome

  • hello everybody. I'm vietnamese. I can pratice vietnamese with everybody. If you want to pratice vietnamese with me. You can contact me. My skype is nenwind and my yahoo is sadlovesong_797. Nice to talk to you

  • @nenwind Word? cause id really like to learn.

  • Thanks for your great how to learn vietnamese online. May I promote the great job of you here. ...

    Very nice.

  • Actually, "No Problem" in Vietnamese is " Khong co gi", or " Khong co chi". " Khong sao" is wrong. ( and I am a Vietnamese)

  • No problem = Khong Sao (I prefer Khong co gi. It sounds better than khong sao.)

  • @onegreenfly id like someone to help teach me!

  • Would you recommend the vietnamese language to me?

  • love how they smile at the camera after every example, lol

  • @quantumdude You aint a bitch so do not act like a bitch!

Actually, I was in Hochimin city, quite a big city ...some dirty places, some rude people, some cheating stuffs...but I love it cus of it's a lovely city. people are friendly, snacks are fantastic, many great parks, a wonderful China town (in district 5), many beautiful ancient buildings built by French, lots of trees (district 3), bustling streets, motorbike culture.(but i'm not sure bout Hanoi, the captital is super damn AWFUL to me)

  • Thank you for this. It's to bad that our public schools did not require us to learn a second language.

  • she's really cute!

  • You are doing a great job Donna!

  • It's funny how much time this "quantumdude" is spending on a channel he hates so much, I have noticed that from all those racist bastards! They spend all their precious time online attempting to spread their hatery to others. You should get a life and a real job, the war was over a long time ago! And change your medication, it's not working!

  • bownsing her arms up and down what the hell

  • The most common problem happens to the vietnameses is that they feel hard to pronounce "th", for example, when vietnameses say "thank you", they pronounce it much more like "tank you".

  • i have been dating my vietnamese girlfriend for 2 years now :) i need to learn more

  • your name isnt viet =o

  • Asian ladies...simply the best

  • anyone else notice a LV bag for 10$?

  • I like how you teach!

  • Check out my Vietnamese Introduction Videos... If you want more free videos, just click THUMBS UP !!!

  • Khong co sao (sorry, my keyboard doesn't have accents) works as well for "No problem" and I personally think it feels better to say. But hey, I only know as much as my mom's side of the family has taught me :/

  • it sounds weird with the "no problem". it sounds better with "không có chi" than "không sao".

  • hey how to u write "i love you with all my life" to my Vietnamese boyfriend who is of course older than me

i'm Mexican just to let you know^^

  • @chinchilla347 em yêu anh với cả cuộc đời em.

  • @lovelysmile2803 ^^ thanks!

  • @quantumdude fuck you you racist vietnamese people are one of the smartest people alive you bitch!! You racist and not all people are scums you bitch and guess what maybe they fixed the water I should know cause I am Vietnamese!! And I am proud your a scum!! So just fuck off

  • @quantumdude let me guess you're a Chinese that has been kicked out of Viet Nam after 1975. The Vietnamese society doesn't tolerate parasites like you that did nothing but destroy Vietnamese social structure and economy. Think about it, would like you to have a meal while cockroaches run around where you eat? You want to blend into Vietnamese people but you look different physically and they mock at you, hey you can't help it!

  • @msoviet409 Im actually danish :D I have blonde hair and blue eyes. you failed !

  • @quantumdude Hey who cares? You're just an it, a normal individual like anybody else, maybe with a little something in the head.

  • @msoviet409 XD LOL What ?

  • @quantumdude You don't sound like a Dane typically, by the way you express yourself. But since I don't see you, I assume you're just a pretender. But whatever! Life is full of --- anyway.

  • @quantumdude google for "danish people are rude" and "danish are racists", there's something would make you pround of. Obviously it's so damn true that most of you people are impolite and haughty. Honey, stoping acting like a bitch, this bloody world dun need any more bitches.

  • @MoriAryka Im not a bitch, Im a journalist.

  • @Nicoledagirl18 learn to speak english :]

  • Viet is an awful and primitive language. Its sounds like the undulating growl emitted by a cat that's been disturbed while it chews on a mouth full of dry cat food. Viet also sounds like the recording of a mentally handicapped person with a mouth full of Novocain, making an impression of a goose, played in reverse.

  • @quantumdude why so mean?!?!

  • @afkpuz07 Im just doing my job. Dont go to vietnam or eat their food (Pho), you will catch hepatitis and your liver will be malfunctionning for the rest of your life !!!

  • @quantumdude umm? Have you tried the Pho King?..you Pho king bic

  • @nathantnnguyen1 Sorry Nguyen Tran Pham (or whatever random combination of the latter your bamboo name is) but I do not speak your monkey dialect :/

  • @quantumdude funny, this these things that i am "speaking" are actually being typed

  • @nathantnnguyen1 You must think thats a pretty clever way to get back at me by displaying my ''obvious confusion'' between sounds and characters on a computer screen. Well played little monkey, some damn fine skills you have!!.....nah just kidding youre still just a disgusting, rat-eating, viet :D

  • @quantumdude yes, yes i am pretty clever at noticing your confusions, thanks... i see that you have a great hatred for the people of Vietnam, why?

  • @nathantnnguyen1 There is a certain kind of Western guy, who after one unhappy romance with a woman from another culture, develops an irrational hatred for everyone from that culture. Don't know if that is what is happening with quantumdude but it seems like every single learn Vietnamese video on youtube has abusive comments from him.

  • @billk61 Oh my!!!! I guess I am busted :P

  • @quantumdude were you molested by a Vietnamese man?

  • @billk61 could it be that he was molested by a VN man?

  • this channel is awesome. Tuyệt lắm !!!

  • This is so easy to understand. 100 thumbs up

  • so everything sounds weird to everyone. done

  • she can't pronounce "Vietnamese". it sounds weird to me

  • she gave the bag to the seller, and bought it back. clever.

  • is this south or north vietnamese?

  • @WtFNoFr33Namez merge

  • @WtFNoFr33Namez It's south accent

  • @WtFNoFr33Namez u can you this anywhere

  • @WtFNoFr33Namez it's South

  • What is proper response to thank you? There is no definitive answer. It´s a matter of context, age, culture, habit and personality. For example, "You´re welcome", "My pleasure" (The point is: I'm glad to help you) "Not at all", "Don´t mention it"(The point is: Humility), "No problem" (The point is: You can trust in me. Young people use it for many reasons....)...etc.. anyway..only say it with own heart can touch the people's heart :D

  • @ChineseFreeOnline Chinese would do well to alphabeticize their language bro.....

  • @Houseofthe7gayboys Hello! That would be a good idea for me, if I were you; but if you were me, you would be the first person to say "no alphabetize". "Chinese writing 8,000 years old", ...it not only represent cultural values....Chinese charaters are an art and spiritual symbols; so, .sorry.. I disagree with your point of view, anyway, thank you for your comment ^ ^....By the way...this is Learn Vietnamese Channel, right? Why I am here??

  • whoa LV bag for $10

  • Oh, excellent vietnamese tone

Bạn nói tiếng Việt tốt quá :D

  • freeshareblog dot wordpres dot com for learning vietnamese for free. great

  • hi

  • otherwise I wish all the Vitnames sounded as beautiful ad as you.

  • I am confused, I go to work and repeat what I learned from your lessons and they tell me no this is not correct, you must say so. I tried so much till I gave up learning Vietnames

  • @HolyGrrale You should never rely on just one source when you're learning a language. Especially a language like Vietnamese.

  • cái câu không sao người ta thường nói sau câu xin lỗi của người khác, ý muốn nói là không có gì xảy ra đâu, không cần xin lỗi đâu.

  • vietnamese hunchback of notré dame !

  • @kennyboiih that is MEAN

  • @kennyboiih now that you mention it, his face does ring a bell..

  • @kennyboiih

hahaha, i was wondering what your comment was about, i burst out laughing when i saw the dude.

  • OH SHIT! WAS THAT GUY A MONSTER?

  • whatever, i find these videos helpful, its enough to get me by and into their pants.

  • she sounds like shes staying out of Viet Nam for a long time, WEIRD!!!, and I have to say that if she talks like that when shes in Viet Nam, people think shes from another country visiting Viet Nam and trying to learn this beautiful but complicated language!

  • her dialect sounds weird to me

  • @TheDeitySnake lol it's the southern dialect..

  • when someone say : thank you (Cảm ơn),u must reply: you're welcom ( không có chi),not say "không sao",it's not right.

  • some body really really want to learn vietnamese you can contac me ...!im a vietnamese

  • im vietnamese and i want to learn to speak the language. im having such a hard time saying "khong," its so frustrating

  • @kevinn510 im viet namese

  • When someone say ''Thank you = Cám Ơn'' We usaully smile or sometime say "You're Welcome = Không Có Chi''. Dont say "No problem = Không sao" not true

  • oh dear. I'm moving to Vietnam in February and can see I'm going to struggle to learn the language before I leave. May be easier when I get there.

  • @norham68 : good luck on your trip :) Vietnamese language is hard (obviously not any language is easy). But if you can master, or at least try to speak the language, Vietnamese would love you so much :)

  • Comment removed

  • what she's speaking is in Southern dialect :D

  • I want to study Vietnamese with this teacher :-x

  • You know what I just realized? I'm Vietnamese and i say "thank you" all the time but no one's EVER said you're welcome to me before. >:U

  • @SheerEpic different customs. VNese usually smile when someone thank them...most of the time I...

  • But Dona is hot

  • If you are a vietnamese and you can't speak vietnamese, you'd better squeeze your time and brain to learn. It's a previlige to be who you are. A vietnamese that can't speak vietnamese is a lost wolf.

  • @TheMenice123 viet prider alert...

  • @TheMenice123 Vietnamese is a monkey language, completely useless.

  • @quantumdude a monkey langauge? are you stupid? Vietnamese are common in North America so Vietnamese is practicle.

  • @Shrumins I know. These rats are everywhere in Canada and the US. I dont see the point on how that makes vietnamese practical at all. They have to speak english or else they get deported. Nobody in their right mind living in america would bother to learn such a useless primitive dialect.

  • @quantumdude It's ironic that you are such a dickhead and that you actually have a dick on your head.

  • @Darfaultner I would rather have one on my head than in my mouth as in your case.

  • @quantumdude Sorry, but my dick is not in your mouth.

    What a weirdo.

  • @Shrumins Its ironic that you called me stupid and yet you spelled "langauge".

  • @quantumdude wow dude, thats pretty damn ignorant if you ask me. its just as equivalant as saying english is a primitive language too. if you dont know this or that, you get deported. thats just not right man. i hope you seek help or something because there's something fucked up in your head

  • @quantumdude It's ironic how you argue speaking English is better and you used the wrong "it's". Be a bitch somewhere else. What nationality are you?

  • Ur pretty.

  • Cám ơn rất nhiều!!!

Southern accent is so cute and smooth. I don't know why but I hate the Northern accent although I was told that it's the only official accent of Vietnamese, it sounds tough and bitter. And I have to say that the central accent's such a terrible thing to hear :(

Vietnamese is a beautiful language but there're many tones which make it's hard to hear or speak. Grammar's cool and unique. Writing system, finally, the most interesting thing to know 'bout Vietnamese.

  • @MoriAryka haha! I sometimes don't even understand the Central accent! But my Mom comes from the Central so it's much easier! Thanks for complimenting the Southern accent. I speak that accent! :))

  • @MoriAryka ya, exactly :D i'm so happy when i know that alot of foreign people know vietnamese

  • To reply to "tất cả là mười đồng" we Vietnamese will say "Vâng, tôi gửi" or "Vâng, gửi chị" (here you are) and give the money, instead of "đây là mười đồng" (this is ten dong). It's so funny, not very Vietnamese. If you want to learn Vietnamese in Hanoi please contact me, i believe you can communicate well with Vietnamese in a few months. My Email: huonghuong2806@gmail.com

  • thumbs up if ur vietnamese and watching this ...

  • Mẹ phải chào chứ

  • this is southern accent....accent from the North would be a little different tho

  • Cám ơn rất nhiều Không có chi I'm vietnamese >.<"

  • Khi mua đồ người của người khác người đó cảm ơn mình thì làm sao lại nói không có chi ??? cái này là một lỗi sai!

  • hello everybody and welcome to the world hardest language in the world.

actually I'm from Nghe An province, Vietnam but you know what . When I'm speaking my own language with another people in another provinces they seem don't really understand me.some times I need a interpreter =))

  • @learnvietnamese: when you pronounce "Không có chi", i heard the sound of "K"...... no, the pronunciation of "K" is different from "Kh"

  • vietnamese grammar is easiest in the world (ex: singular or plural is the same ^__^) .... but the vietnamese pronunciation is hardest, too =))) but dont worry, if u know how to speak vietnamese (ex: vietnamese alphabet is 90% pronounce like spanish, so when you wanna pronounce "ao", just pronounce "a" first, "o" second, but remember, pronounce fastly)

    i'm vietnamese....

  • i`m Singaporean Chinese and i speak Cantonese with HK people.Vietnamese sound similar to Cantonese languages speaking .And i want to ask do many people in Vietnam speak Cantonese?

  • @gck86 It sounds similar, but no majority of Vietnamese people don't speak Cantonese, the sound might be similar, but they're definitely not alike in words I believe.

  • Không Sao = No star?

  • @quietthomas Tôi không sao = I'm OK!

dont use google translate, u may confuse.... like "ask" (verb) = "yêu cầu" = "requirement" (noun)... but if you translate each word of them, it can be "love toilet". "yêu"= "love", "cầu"= "toilet"

    :))

  • Thank you so much! ~ I'm travelling to Vietnam in November 2012, as part of a team in a World Challenge student led trip, and I really need to learn how to pronounce vietnamese, you helped me a lot!!~

  • Hi Dona I like this Vietnamese lesson. Thanks a lot for Vietnamese class.

  • 10 đồng not = 10 dollar

10 đồng you can do nothing

    20.000 đồng = 1 dollar @@

  • i'm going to vietnamese restaurent tomorrow and i just anted to learn hoe to say thank you :) cam on !!

  • khong sao dau moi dung chu

  • does anyone here got her phone number ? cuz i deffinitely bang her

  • 1:46 = troll face

  • @Yngelel Shrek!

  • sound very good.thank you.

  • I also do not recommend learning from this tutorial. When I teach people Vietnamese, I try to make the tones VERY clear because the tones are essential to the meaning of the words. She barely intonates her words, so how can a non-Vietnamese person even discern that there are different tones?

  • i am also motivated to learn it cause my girlfriend is vietnamese :) thank you for the upload!

  • Học Tiếng Mỹ Kiểu Này Có Vẻ Nhanh Hơn ! kaka

  • 'khong sao' was used in a wrong context.

  • "Không sao" shouldn't be used in that context. Use "không có chi" instead

  • @graphix522 the fake ones in LA are lmao

  • this is a good beggining to learn vietnamese... i am motivated to learn it by such a beautiful teacher..thank you!!

  • phát âm sai hết rồi

  • Dislike

some word are wrong here, and she must have lived abroad for long time. That's why she's even teaching Vietnamese, but she doesnt speak perfectly. It's not naturally. We never speak like that. Im wondering why they dont just speak Vietnamese instead of using both English and Vietnamese in this video? When i found all of Learning English videos they just use ENGLISH!!!

  • She is good. Nonetheless, teaching Vietnamese is better when the teacher is Northern Vietnamese. Donna is Southern Vietnamese, so some words are not correct spelling like: cám ơn she spells cám ơng, nhiều she spells nhìu... etc. So, it's not a big problem when foreigners speak like that because all Vietnamese can hear and understand. However, it can create a big barrier to write (remember from pronunciation) => Mistakes

  • bad Vietnamese pronunciation! don't learn Vietnamese from this girl, my suggestion. btw, i am Vietnamese

  • @iamvosong i thinks she's pretty decent.

  • the girl's beautiful......

  • u speak horible im vietnemese and i speak better then u
