Great discussion, I mostly agree with Gail Dines and also Jaclyn Friedman. The notion of the slutty woman is a male invention. I also agree that the tactic doesn't seem likely to change how men use the word "slut" to empower themselves at women's expense, and that's what's missing from this analysis. The word as a tool of oppression for men is what we should be looking at. Another problematic notion is that of the "tease." As though men are not 100% in control of their actions!
