  • you are damn good teacher. love every of your video

  • Anyone who uses this chord progression is lazy. There are just too many songs that use it!

  • c major is Cadd9?

  • Does this guy kind of sound like Mr. Rogers?

  • isn't that the progression from Sweet Home Alabama? lol

  • Great instruction- helped a lot. Thanks so much.

  • man his guitar sounds nice, makes me wish my guitar had new strings.

I could play his progression for hours lol, sounds awesome.

  • Peter,

I think you make great video's! Thank you for that! I was wondering: What guitar are you holding?

  • dude thank you i needed this!! I started playing about a year ago but I only learned about 3 chords and I forgot everything. I started again yesterday and this is already encouraging me because I can't seem to get it right on any of the other videos as well. Thank you!

  • Not for me.

  • what the heck? Has he tuned his guitar differently? :s

  • Thank you for a good lesson. I usually play a 2 finger g chord, but found the 4 finger easy based on your direction. I'll have to practice this 100 times to achieve true flow.

    What songs use this progression?

  • Good video and now I have learnt cadd9 but I'm not sure if he had the "g chord" correct? Thanks anyway really helpful

  • cool lesson thanks

  • The only problem I have with this, is that when I try to transition from G back to D, my ring finger always moves off place while my pinky stays on the high E, and so I play the D wrong. Erg.

    Practice makes perfect, I assume.

  • thanks alot..your a good teacher..

  • isnt the g 3rd finger on string e

  • Oh my god!! You're AWESOME!

  • Best Teacher!!!

  • Ok, now this is a good lesson. This was fantastic. He didn't rush through anything, the setting of the video was pleasant haha, he didn't speak to his audience like we were stupid but he didn't speak to us as if we were equal to him in guitar skills either. Just perfect.

  • i have problem with struming up the string... i'm a self learning without any tutor just simply surffing through youtube to learn

  • Thanks!

  • are these the chords for a mess that i made by the format?

  • C add 9 is a C major chord with a added 2nd/9th which is D. Formula: 1,3,5,9 Hope this helps.

  • helped me thanks

  • what is cadd9 though? odd name

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's great

  • You made a mistake at 1:04 which got me a little confused. You said move your third finger but really you meant move your second. Great video though.

  • wow, this guy does better than my teacher and for free. Thanks guy, music should be taught to everyone and this is by far one of the best ways.

  • great vid man! helped me out a lot. now ive got a bunch of ideas for new songs to write.

  • This helped me much! There is a NotSoEasy song called Nonamen laulu, and i can play it now!

    : )

  • wow! my guitar is not actually broken! Thanks Peter. People like yourself make me want to learn.

  • this is close to blue on black by kenny wayne shepard.

  • back to the basics aaa

  • I can't play the damn D major. Its very hard to put the second finger on the first string when the 3rd finger is on the second one. I can put them but im muting the first string with the 3rd finger. Need a whole lot more practice to do it

  • it might be easier for you to use your middle finger where your pointer finger usually is, place your ring finger where your middle finger usually is, and put your pinky finger where your ring finger usually is. if that's confusing let me know and i'll try to explain better. the only thing wrong with this fingering is that it's going to make transitions a little bit harder and it's not the standard fingering.

  • thanx for the explanation. Well, after practicing Im getting better. Now with the standard fingering (like in the video) I can play it quite good. I mute the first string from time to time and get some buzzing but Im getting it. Thanx
