3rd Ave strip of brooklyn from 60th Street to like Red Hook is Nasty, full of porn shops , crack heads , and alcoholics , and not to metion IT IS a dangous street , some times the BQE is tight wit traffic, and people use 3rd Ave as an alternatie route, n speed down 3rd Ave like a bad out of hell, I can tell u from experince!
You are exaggerating. The strip you are talking about is maybe 4 miles long. There are maybe 8 or 10 porn shops on there. On any given night you will have 1 or 2 crackheads from 60th to 50th street.
As for Red Hook, 3rd avenue doesn't go into Red Hook, but the highway does. There used to be lots of crack heads down there but, they've really cleaned it up. Red Hook is now booming; MTV's Real World Brooklyn was filmed there.
As for cars "speeding", I actually never see them speed. They usually stay to under 35MPH. Traffic is bad though during the day but, such is the case throughout all of NYC during those hours.
