In case anybody is wondering the gamecube version of this plays BEAUTIFULLY on Dolphin (if your system can handle dolphin)...

If any of you know the site emuparadise go there and download it, it's only a 96MB rar file!, it'll be a little over a 1gb after decompression (but that's nothing for today's standards).

They should have released it worldwide. This is a very proper update/port. Note that differences are not due to 3d polygon graphics at all. 2d and 3d don't have much difference aside an extra axis and the art. It's all in the physics, friction, and animation timing.

It's like the age old lie that Digitized Graphics change gameplay, rather the makers destroying the gameplay by not using those frames in the same timing, making delays that feel like the 2d Prince of Persia games.

Well it can be,,I own 2 copies of this game. 1 for PS2 and 1 for GC. The GameCube version took me 3-4 years to find it. Super Adventure Island for GC was also hard to find. LOL forget about the ISO's there way harder to find.

@MisterWin Well at first I did numerous searches and check all Japanese video game stores as possible.The store that use to supply them are out stock for a long time now. Your only hope is Ebay. I just check,,,most are less than $60 search PC GENJIN. If you gonna buy a PS2 version shouldn't be to difficult,but if are looking for a GameCube version LOL GOOD LUCK!! but there is still a few around.

Thanks for the quick reply. I saw the PS2 version on Ebay and was curious if your Gamecube version needed specific region software or system and/if it could be played on the Wii?

@MisterWin Yes,,, Both version were release only for Japan. So it won't play on USA region. But I suggest you to search for info on the Wii under modchip here in Y.T. You will find some info in how to play the game using a SD card. I don't own a Wii at this moment,,so I can't say that this really works.

This game looks sweet, but they should have done the game absolute justice. Match the boss size to the TurboGrafx-16 version and get rid of the "canvas texture" that makes up the mountains in the background. Seems like they could have done a better job. Great looking game though.

You can probably also order it from some shop online that will import it for you, or just buy it on eBay. That would probably be a lot cheaper.

Cool video, but I like the original Bonk's Adventure on NEC Turbo Grafx 16 / PC Engine. The 2D graphics and music are much better.
