I don't know what do you mean by Iranians perhaps you mean Persians. Iran is a country with a high ethnic diversity. Persians who live in the central parts of the country have almost the same population as Azeris. The rest of the population consists of Kurds, Baluchis, Turkmens, Arabs, Lors, Gilakis and Mazandaranis ... I think Iran should be a federal state like Switzerland and all the ethnic comunities including Persians can enjoy their own cultural and linguistic heritages.

Your guess is correct. Tabriz is the capital of South Azerbaijan province in Iran. Azeri-Turkic speaking people in Iran consisting around one third of the total population and they are the same people as the Republic of Azerbaijan in the north. Azerbaijan has divided by Russians two century ago.

But alot of Iraians live there as well, I think even my grandfather lived there for a period. And I thought the Turks where only 15% of Iran? Anyway, do you think the south azerbaijian will become independent? I am from Iran, but have never lived there, so I don't really know too much about the people there. But I like Azeri people, I have a girl in my class and she is really cool!

Unfortunately, at the moment, Persian language is the only language in Iran that people can use in the schools, universities and media. We are not allowed to study in our mother tongue in the schools. If this unfair situation continues, Iran will be divided into several small countries. I don't like this to happen but if situation doesn't change, it will be inevitable.
