The guy was someone who helped save yomi. He had to kill some woman that @shanameiyan98 the boy gave the bane stone to first. I think it was his girl friend named Aoi. Silver hair boy was trying to release some short of demon and Yomi and that That guy (Toru) stopped him. if you ask me team 4 was okay but had no idea how to stop the level be Phantom. Really Holiy water doesn't work on everything. Yomi's team used magic plus todays weapons.

As much as I enjoyed this series, I probably won't be buying it when it comes out. Without the manga, you're only getting the backstory and the "prequel" is not worth the $30+ price tag. If the manga did come out, this would be a definite buy. Sorry Funimation...

the old lady in the end was the old supervisor of their department. if you guys really watch the show, you would know. she was suppose to retire but she returned because her great-granddaughter who was their leader (the one in the wheelchair) had to take care of her nakama. If you are interested in this anime or the story line, you should read the manga itself because it continues the story.

That really wasn't that great at all...

I mean the animation was good and the characters had potential but the story was just way to (dark) for no reason.

For example why would yomi even willingly take in the bane stone?...

She smiled and there was absolutely no explanation for that.

I have watched animes that are depressing and a hell of a lot better then this.

Yomi just getting possessed and going on a killing spree just killed it for me.

Blassreiter is so much better then this anime.

@CapitanKurosaki well to start off, they wanted for you to anticipate the nearing ending, the team in the orange suit was another branch of the whole force in which died considering she wanted to kill all the people, i think she mainly focused on the ministry following people so she killed them, but i believe that the "silver haired boy's" connection to them is that the ministry was investigating on his father in which was a scientist i think? - Opinion O_o was a great series aswell! >:D

@CapitanKurosaki I was freaking out too, so I looked around, all I know is those people were not really important. This anime is backstory of the Ga-Rei manga, the "main characters" from episode one were nobody but prey for Yomi to show up. The writers were saying the anime was just an original story that has nothing to do with the manga and gave everyone a surprise by killing off the group then showing the real main characters. It made almost everyone who watched the first episode wtf honestly.

They are technically the cast in the first volume of the manga. So it shows more that this is backstory and the people in the first episode are nobody but killable characters.

EPIC I TOTALLY encourage you to read it (Not yet serialized in English in books so you can only read it online) Waiting for it to be published in English so i can buy all the volumes. Nom nom nom. And Kagura is HOTter in the Manga lol. Actually... all the girls are in the manga O_O
