  • nice ballet your little fag dance fine, 2 baillarines

  • im guessing mantis style consist of using your fore fingers and legs rather than other ones like hapkido which consist of disarming armed and un-armed people

  • I liked the music... lol

  • Wow, it looks pretty good to me.

  • reminds me of girl fight

  • well done men.

  • awesome. reminds me of jackie chan oldskool kung fu movies.

  • Mantis is a very brutal style, very tough, but not alot of footwork. That footwork is taken alot from the Drunken Monkey system.

  • Could use a bit more speed, but over-all it's a great demo

  • read up on the history its grate on mantiss there is just about all of the chines marshel arts in it.

but woch out you dont fall in to the trap of well if i can beat them with over comperated stuff im good, as bruce sed hit hit and hit, people that are good at kunf fu look grate my mates dad was a engla claw master wow

  • Very distinct gibbon footwork. Interesting set, I haven't seen it in other seven star branches.

If your in Chengdu call for traiing 8135 3389. On the web at imperialtao. We love crosstraining with real martial artists of all backgrounds.

  • this was fucking bitchin can u tell me where u can learn Mantis fighting style??? plaese i know Jujitsu and Muay thai fighting i wanna learn mantis.... plaese comment back

  • Depends on where you live and what kind of mantis you want to learn :p

  • Very well done, but if you dont mind some critisim... some of the atacks doesnt look like they would reach the opponet even if he hadn't block. It's a common mistacke and it's not very noticiable but I jsut thought you might want to know, if you dotn beleive me, look at some of the kicks. And yes, i know i have horrible spelling, i'm sorry.

  • Love the music with it. Great drumming and percussion. You must also Liondance!

  • it looks like a very graceful yet deadly dance

  • good one!

I´m a black belt in Pak Hok style...

I´m won 2 black belt of mantis style in Brazil, but i like this style is faster but not s stronger.

  • Im a Jidoka but have a mass of respect for all internal arts... i think this was a well executed show. smooth movement and strong where required, i dont know why anyone would say a bad word about it... if they did... why dont they put their video up? Maybe then they can become the armchair warrior they always wanted to be

  • what? your spelling? Just kidding..

  • Our Art is based on application. We do our best during demonstrations and when we compete. But our goal is self improvement and defense. Each segment of this form has a world of application it it that can be broken down into specific scenarios. The flow is important, in that no matter what, you keep going, to conquer, to survive. This form relates that. Great job guys!

  • Awesome dude keep em up!!! 5/5

  • Thats a nice style and one of my favorites

gotta love Shou Shu Kung Fu

yeah when i get higher up in it im going to be learning hopefully in

    Mantis

    Mongoose

    and White Crane

  • your father is gay =D

  • I have great respect for all of the arts and as a Kung Fu practitioner I believe they may actually be evenly matched now I admit that maybe Kung Fu looks TOO traditional to some but there is a lot of technique in those movements.Kung Fu has had its name smeared by modern day wushu that looks like some kind of wacked out dance. Besides I'm not really out looking for a fight I just like taking martial arts why does it matter who can beat who?

  • Great fight. but against things like Muy Thai the mantis would get killed.

  • prove it

  • It might be kind of hard but... if you use that method to Muy Thai it is harder to read their movements aswell as they also move in close and fast so if the mantis requires something like a throw to get him off but usually he will get a few hits in. And how about that Knee? I dont know how to reverse somthing that is coming up at your face right after a fist-elbow combo.

  • I meant post a video, don't tell me you've read during comment wars. Besides, how are you going to judge mantis kung fu on a fighting set, out of canada? Come on one of them had an afro for fucks sake.

  • its not always the art but the ARTIST im sure somewhere theres a taekwondo or karate dude that could knock a few kung fu or muay thai dudes around.

  • half the reason thai fighters are tough is simply because they can take a hit. other than that, their movements (of which there are few) are quite telegraphing and predictable. like is mentioned below, its the person, not the art.

  • What can you expect from a guy who really can't spell MUAY THAI.LOL

  • His said Thai fighters, not muay thai, my friend. You misunderstood him. He was simply speaking in terms of star wars. Anyway, in all reality Muay Thai is a good fighting style but it is the conditioning that makes it about 75% of what it is.

  • *he said. Haha! A college education and I can't even properly start a sentence... =D

  • I'm sorry if i misunderstood you.

  • the first time your thai fighter missed his round kick and spun completely around, he'd be on the ground and in a world of sh*t.

  • Not if it was a feign and he threw it into a spinning back elbow.

  • what good is his elbow gonna do from that far away? especially if im shooting on him with his back to me

  • cool stuff!
