AT has always had a problem selling itself and with naff ads like these it continues to. Its too mysterious, it should go down the physio-type approach to advertise, people want to know what their getting.
Thank you. I am about to embark on the journey of learning to teach the Alexander Technique and it's good to see an organisation priding itself on the commercial aspects. By making such an ad, you're both promoting yourselves as a business and hinting at the benefits to the individual in the context of commerce. The value of 'the work' to artists is widely accepted, but I think what's needed for the AT to really take a hold is recognition and promotion of the business advantages.
