Complete idiots. There has got to be roads & places to do things like that in ID. without risk to others. Night is right though, peoples children are in bed safe and not in the back seat.

I was driving home from work when a guy ran a stop sign doing 80mph. I t-boned him because he came from a blind intersection and the passenger was killed he is now doing 3 years in jail for man slaughter.

this sucks because i also street, we usually run @ night on dead roads. they should put up more race track but in the mean time i speed at night.

if there are no houses or people on that road then the racers are just gonna hurt themselves. The fact is that this happened in the middle of the day on busy streets which is stupid even to a street racer.

I think they shoud get the full 15 years for sure. Racing on the street is DUMB on a scale I can't even describe. My best friend was killed by a street racer we were driving down the road and broadsided on his side the drivers side. And he died at the scene with me sitting right next to him while the fire department used the jaws of life to get us out. That is why I am opening as many tracks as I can to prevent that from happening as much as possible. It was a street racer that hit us over 100!

its not right to street race...but it costs money to race at tracks man, i understand where you're coming from...it would be a great thing if one and a while police could shut down a long, empty road, for racers, with emergency crews...you know?

daytime is actually a much better time for racing than during the night: visibility is much better, the streets are often clearer because everyone is at work, much better chance of spotting an officer laying in wait than during the night. You're really taking chances racing at night, police expect the behavior then

You shouldn't be racing on streets PERIOD. They are commute use lanes, not recreational use lanes.

End of story. Go to a track, can't afford to, too bad. You don't rob a store because you can't afford something in there, you live within your means.

If you street race on open public roads where you could hurt innocent people using the roads for their intended purpose, then may you die trapped in the burning wreckage alone and screaming before you hurt someone else.
