Yea, thats my complaint with the 09 WRX. the body roll is horrit. Its not so much the suspension as it is the crappy stock stablizer bars. The need to be bigger for sure.
i test drove both a 2009 wrx and a 2009 rx8 r3 and yes straight line everytime the rex will win and felt a lot faster but the 8 is not a sport compact it is a true rwd sports car. The 8 handles so much better it is a auto x car right from the factory. If you buy a 8 for 1/4 mile racer your stupid and go buy a rex and rent fast and the furious. The 09 rex felt like garbage the only it had over the 8 was the stright line speed. Thats why i went with the r3.

@somanymods i will take your word for those times,,, but take into consideration lap times from a viewpoint of different car testers times,,, just because c&d got a 3.19.0 lap time doesnt mean another driver will get exact time... i will be first to say i would probably be below that time... i consider myself a really good driver,,, and can do alot with almost any car, but those are pros in most cases test driving,,, an example i like for instance is on bbc top gear rx8 got same lap time as m3

congrats... i hope you got a manual... cuz thats better right off the bat... and not because auto is gay or some stupid reason .. but the auto tranny has more torque but it takes even longer to build up the power... and also auto trannys flood alot and have carbon build up due to not redlining enough... enuff said just research how to take care of rx8 or you will have problems...
there is nothing you can do cheaply to get more power.. i heard someone say that raising the compression ratio will
give more power but will cause engine overheating... but thats just something i heard and wouldnt recomend toying with that idea.. the cheapest way is either turbo or supercharge... rx8 has around 180rwhp and with all the n/a mods it will make around 200rwhp... you can also do a conversion to a 20b rotary but thats one of the most expensive ways... ive had mine for almost two years since i was 18 and left it stock apart from a few performance upgrades that dont give more hp.. stage 2 clutch and
and short shifter .... and they have done wonders in terms of driving pleasure and just the feel... everytime i drive my friends rx8 i am reminded how good it was to replace those few things... i would also recomend getting ipod intergration kit... if you have drive around alot it makes driving expierence more enjoyable..

it dont matter what version it is, its not touchin the Rex. My friend has vids of him destroying an 09 rx-8 in his 08 V6 altima. rx-8 is a horrible successor to the rx-7
The problem with the RX-8 is that it lacks on torque.. And you are right, oneandonly, it is a horrible version of the it's successor. That's why I don't understand why vehicle manufacturers insist on fixing something that isn't broken.
The 3.5 Altimas are very nice, a friend of mine has one also.
