  • come thou almighty king help us thy name to sing weve come to praise weve come to praise thy

  • See.....now you taking me back to my choir days. I am a preacher now, but I would love for my choir to learn this one.

  • Yesssss classicc!

  • "robbieatnsudotcom", I love coming to your site because one thing I do know is that Rev. Wright was not a "battler of words". You have many blessings upon you because you definitely keep confusion DOWN. God is not the author of that. Thank you for such a beautiful spirit. GOD BLESS!!

  • @MsMinisterS Bless you! The question is not whether we are saying the right words, but rather, is the RIGHT WORD being proclaimed. Thank you so much for your words of love and endearment. Peace and Blessings!!

    :-)

  • Ok, let's not get into a battle over the lyrics. The original hymn "Come Thou Almighty King" has the words, "Father all glorious, o'er all victorious.", and techinically, after listening to the words over and over, that's actually what the choir is singing. But, when other people sing it, such as the way my home church and many other churches do, it's "Father oh glorious, oh how victorious." Either way, it makes sense. No need to get upset. We're all getting blessed by the song.

  • i love this song! But I could not sing it. It is too long! Praise The Lord!!!

  • the adult choir @ mi church sings this song

  • Oh, Come Thou Almighty King!!! Help us thy NAME to sing!!! I love this song because its so needed especially in these perilous times we are currently living in...We need to remember that He is Almighty! Amen!!

  • Good Ole 90''s Gospel

  • @robbieatnsudotcom,

If I may make a correction, the bridge is "Father all glorious, o'er all victorious," not "Father, oh glorious; oh, how victorious."

  • @amez4life You know what, you right. LOL. My church is in the country, and you know how everyone changes the words to make it sound right "for them." But you're right. Thanks for the correction.

  • @robbieatnsudotcom No problem at all. In fact, I just posted all the songs from this album about seven hours ago, so now you and everyone else on YouTube can enjoy them!

  • @amez4life Thanks for the info and the songs from the album. I plan on posting "I Won't Let Go My Faith" after I saw your video, so look for it soon. Thanks a bunch.

  • @amez4life it is "father oh glorious oh how victorious" not "father all glorious o'er all victorious" get right.
