Yeah AOL/Time Warner merger killed WCW. Funny how people like to point fingers on who killed that company and always post that comment on TNA vids and argue with other morons on here. WCW was a great company with lots of talent, it was just poorly poorly managed. But I will say this.. WCW 2000 is better than WWE right now, which doesn't say much about Vince.

Well I'm not keen on TNA, its certainly nowhere near where WCW was at before its demise.
One thing is for sure though, Vince has gotten lazy, he hasn't been challenged by any competition and wheeling out the same old storylines with the same old people has seen interest drop.
So in a sense,if TNA really pulled their finger out, it would be better for TNA, we'd see WWE responding to a ratings war and putting some decent content out there, and overall the fans would have the luxury of choice

@sheepsyt Austin was only a major part of WWE for 2 years in the 90's. Hogan was dominant all throughout the 80's and made wrestling the spectacle it is today. The 90's that were so awesome in the WWE included Hogan, Hart, HBK, Taker, Diesel, Razor, etc. Austin wasn't a huge part during the early and mid-90's. Hogan was a HUGE part for over a decade and still is today.

Probably because ECW wasn't so popular during his prime. It didn't come around until 1992. He's also been in AWA, Japanese promtions. I don't think he was in NWA or GWF which was some promotion that had TV deal for a yr back in the early 90s. ECW was mostly a hardcore wrestling company, which isn't hogans style of wrestling.

Yeah but let's not forget that ECW had so much more than just violent hardcore wrestling. It is true that there were no rules but if you look at the early matches starring Benoit (the name that must not be mentioned), Guerrero, Malenko, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho and other great talent, there weren't much violence involved. It was the violent matches that made the loudest noise.

Well I'm not keen on TNA, its certainly nowhere near where WCW was at before its demise.
One thing is for sure though, Vince has gotten lazy, he hasn't been challenged by any competition and wheeling out the same old storylines with the same old people has seen interest drop.
So in a sense,if TNA really pulled their finger out, it would be better for TNA, we'd see WWE responding to a ratings war and putting some decent content out there, and overall the fans would have the luxury of choice

@sheepsyt Austin was only a major part of WWE for 2 years in the 90's. Hogan was dominant all throughout the 80's and made wrestling the spectacle it is today. The 90's that were so awesome in the WWE included Hogan, Hart, HBK, Taker, Diesel, Razor, etc. Austin wasn't a huge part during the early and mid-90's. Hogan was a HUGE part for over a decade and still is today.

Poor Hogan I guess. It's so blindly obvious after being so involved with the WWE he would've rather have gone there. Must be cruel to be turned down. Oh well, you should accept it when you're too old for the business. I don't feel he have any place in the ring. He could have so many backstage jobs related to wrestling, this seems to desperate.

All the hogan exposure and all tna gets is a 1.3 rating on its best night. shit they wanna compete with raw on mondays but they cant even get a better rating than ecw. dixie carter should just save up her money and sign pat patterson and gerald brisco. i can see them now owning the tag team division. This gives TNA huge exposure. As long as they dont make the WCW mistake of only pushing the old guys, WWE could finally, after a number of years of crapness, finally have a competitor.
You can bet that Vince would not have liked this news. I for one will be tuning in to the Bravo channel in the UK to watch it.

Hulk Hogan is great, but it feels like he's giving the middle finger to WWE. The WWE made him, along with most of TNA's talent was made famous because of WWE. I understand its basicly for ratings, but it feels wrong. Imagine Stone Cold Steve Austin in TNA. I know his wrestling days are over, but it wouldnt be right.

if you look at certain people, matches and other things you will see that tna is slowly becoming the new ecw, wwe tried and failed its tnas turn, i cant stand all those people (mostly kids) who say wwe is the bestest ever and tna sucks, tna dosent get the oppertunitys and income that wwe does and they've done what they can with what they have. i personally think tna is the future

dude tna get a whole load of money chucked at them and just because there stuipid enough to get a half asses booker all matches are booked wrong and therefore they dont sell tickets and dont make money. i'll admit wwe isn't the best but its fucking better than tna i don't watch raw its too much of a gimmick for me but smackdown has been on top for a long time in terms of wrestling and thats all i want and not promo aftewr promo like tna does.

Probably because ECW wasn't so popular during his prime. It didn't come around until 1992. He's also been in AWA, Japanese promtions. I don't think he was in NWA or GWF which was some promotion that had TV deal for a yr back in the early 90s. ECW was mostly a hardcore wrestling company, which isn't hogans style of wrestling.

Yeah but let's not forget that ECW had so much more than just violent hardcore wrestling. It is true that there were no rules but if you look at the early matches starring Benoit (the name that must not be mentioned), Guerrero, Malenko, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho and other great talent, there weren't much violence involved. It was the violent matches that made the loudest noise.
