Thanks that's great. The ad problem i have with utube is the constantly running ads in a small window next to the main video window. As the ad begins, runs and stops and then a new one begins it affects the flow of the video I'm watching. The sound continues but the picture is very jefky .stops and starts then runs and so the cycle continues, IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!! any ideas please ?

@marcmacc11 I would say its the speed of your computer, but I'm not sure. Try running the video on a lower resolution. I've never come across this though, so I can't be sure

This video made my life. I had a very annoying ad that made my video screen move to the down right corner and fill up with black - so every time I watched a video I couldn't see half of it and closing the ad didn't help. Finally the ad is gone! FAVOURITED! ^_^

It also works for Chrome. I tried Firefox about a year ago and hated it. Too slow and cumbersome for older systems with less than 1GB of RAM. You can also disable Flash to get rid of those pesky ads on the top left screen. If you do, you'll get a message "Upgrade to Flash Player 10 for improved performance." That's utter bullshit. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE other than your YouTube experience being more enjoyable.

youtube is owned by google. google is one of the most biggest corruptions in the world, not to say one of the richest. to put adds on youtube really made me lose kudos for google. anything google related is usually a clean interface with no adds but the fact they had to make that little more $ really just ticks me off. @MewTwoob I think what popie89867 is asking you is how to remove certain other ads on the page. When you open a video there are 1-2 ads in the sidebar directly to the right of the video, usually one on top of the other. Sometimes it will be for Dr. Pepper, right now it's 'Want to be a firefighter?'. I think he's trying to find a certain type of song in the sidebar but these ads are taking up space where legit video's should be; so he wants to know if you know how to be rid of them as well.

I have not much problem with the pop up banner ad at the bottom, nor the intro adverts. I accept that shit just ain't free anymore and this is the price you pay. I'd prefer a clean feed (and I'm a Chrome guy) but I'll put up with it.

The thing that is driving me nuts now (and inspired me to do a search on how to stop it) are the square ads in the top right corner of youtube that almost always have audio. WTF??? I'm watching a video and I get bombed with a second audio source! Get that shit out

but that is where they can get their money from not by blocking the content a user puts up. how about that effort to post vids, note that youtube is user contend based they just provide the service to put it up. by doing that they have a grand media for banners silent pop ups and other non intrusive ads to make money off.

Intro ads that last for 30 seconds to watch a 20 second vid, UNACCEPTABLE.
